Mary’s Bleue Moon Cafe

As a kid I use to walk by this joint on my way to school, the nice White House with the picture window
Tonight went for a second visit in two months
Totally awesome spot to eat good home cooking
Staff are warm and attentive
We were a party of 8 everything was over the top Yummie

I have been to Mary’s many times but this review is based only on my last visit as it had been about 8 years.
I always thought that I could count on this place for a reliably tasty meal and an overall good experience. Until now…
We went for a late lunch in the fall. There was maybe 3 other tables so we expected fast service… Or not. We got water and menus quickly and then we waited. And waited and waited. It was over 20 minutes before we were able to place our order.
Though the food came out in an average amount of time, half of it was ice cold. I had an oyster burger with fries and the oysters used were VERY strong. Strong to the point that they were mostly inedible (and I have been eating oysters since I was a young child and know what they should taste like). The fries had no warmth left at all. I would have mentioned it had anyone come to ask how we were doing.
Hopefully it was an off day because I would like to go Again when I am in the area.
