Specialists in Marelco Anti Fouling and Anti Corrosion solutions for the Marine Industry, There are three Marelco systems to effectively deal with Biofouling and Corrosion; The Marelco Ultrasound system will prevent marine growth in salt and fresh water. The Marelco Electrolytic Anode System will prevent marine growth and Trap Corrosion in sea water piping systems, sea chests, box coolers, cross over tanks and other internal areas exposed to the intake of sea water, and the Marelco ICCP (Impressed Current Cathodic Protection) System is designed to combat exterior corrosion of the vessel.

History

Established in 1955.

EMCS Industries was established in 1955 in the beautiful West Coast town of Sidney, BC, Canada. The Company was established by Frank Chappel and Lauder Ramsay who had invented a revolutionary seawater electrolytic protection technology. The patented product was manufactured by EMCS and marketed worldwide for several decades under the trade name ‘Cathelco’. Since 1983, EMCS Industries Ltd has marketed the system globally under the trade name MARELCO and also provides MARELCO Ultrasound to combat biofouling and Cathodic protection systems to stop corrosion in large vessels. After 60 years EMCS Industries is the supplier to world class customers that dominate the Marine Industry worldwide.
