I usually shop the City Centre Mall EB games but seeing as I have spent alot of time out in Sherwood Park lately I thought I would pop in here and see if they had any copies of the hard to find Ace Attorney series for DS. The first time I came in I was totally ignored by the associate who was far too busy talking with his friends to even greet me let alone assist with my search. I even made a point of looking around and bending over to read titles on cases just to show I was a serious customer but I finally just gave up and left. My second time in despite the fact that there was no one else in the store I was still ignored by the associate who was more interested in his computer then a living breathing customer. I didn’t bother looking this time and just turned around and left the store. I guess third time is a charm because I was finally able to get some help on my last visit from a very friendly young woman. I loved her enthusiasm to discuss handheld gaming with me despite the fact they didn’t have what I was looking for so I obviously was not going to be making a purchase that day. The selection here is good but not in a way that makes it stand out from any of the Edmonton locations I have visited and the service is very hit and miss so I probably won’t bother making another trip in unless I happen to be in the mall for something else. If you are a local and prefer being left to shop and browse with little associate interaction then you might like it here but for everybody else I can think of better places to scratch that gaming itch.
