Description

Specialties

Serious dedication to the art of coffee. We spend way too much time trying to make this beverage absolutely perfect for you.

We offer fascinating light fare. Come and try our balsamic-glazed beets, carrots and zucchini wrap with hummus, cumin-coated chickpeas, spinach and red onion. Or our chicken, goats cheese, roasted red pepper with spinach all tucked up in a Black Russian Honey Baguette.

Live music every Thursday. Brunch every weekend.

History

Established in 2007.

After travelling the world for a year, including getting engaged on Easter Island, my wife and I got married in Jasper in August 2007 and took over the lease at 9 Sioux Road in October 2007. Previously called Cappuccino Affair, Jack Beans Stop and then Jemz Meeting Place, we were the fourth owners to attempt to make the coffee shop concept work.

We stripped the entire space of its décor and made it what it was today. Except there was no deck and the kitchen was half the size. So that got upgraded in 2009.

Followed by our beautiful boy, Matheo, in October 2009. But things got tough: after the renovations, becoming a family, a recession and no wife to run the kitchen we almost went under.

But 2010, was a golden year and everything seemed to fit into place.

We’ve learnt so much and shed so much blood, sweat and tears.
