Sadly Bak Hauk is no more. During the Year it retooled its look I guess to appeal to wider crowd. While the décor is nice, it looks like it can’t decide what type of restaurant it wants to be. Is it a sports bar or Asian fusion restaurant? Even the menu seems muddled. They got rid of the sushi which was sad. They had good sushi there. The other dishes we ordered which were ones that were on the previous menu seemed lacking. Hopefully they find their direction again.

Really good Asian food. Been a few times over the years and never disapointed. A little pricier than similar fare elsewhere, but higher quality justifies higher price! It isn’t high on the list of revisits these days… but it’s on there, and we will be back! Check it out!

In Sherwood Park in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Great food at a reasonable price. Sit down restaurant. They have sushi and Vietnamese and Chinese food. What was most noticeable is they they cut the spiciness level way down for the masses. Which is ok because it’s easier to add spice than remove it. Our food was very good. Sushi was well made with a good chunk of raw salmon in the middle. The three mushroom veggie dish really hit the spot. The pad Thai had just enough of a kick to it. Sechuan beef was a little too mild though. Bottles of beer are $ 7 dollars. Our server was very pleasant. If you don’t order alcohol this place is of great value! I’ll be back.

Great sushi, great prices, super fast and friendly services. I was not a big fan of the thai dish, but will stick with the sushi which was perfect.

I work in Sherwood Park and the Elk Island area five days a week and I am always exploring around to try and find some good lunch and dinner options. I was craving Asian food one afternoon and decided to stop at Bak Hauk for take-out. The location is in a great and accessible spot right off of Baseline. There is lots of parking available. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the restaurant as it was actually very nice inside — a relaxed atmosphere with nice newer fixtures and décor. I ordered a variety of smaller dishes to try out and was most impressed with the quality of the sushi. I had a sushi/sashimi combination and the fish was fresh, flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I’m definitely planning on making this my go-to place for a lunch sushi stop. I also had some of the chicken satay skewers and the deep fried tofu. I was a little underwhelmed with the chicken, especially for the price(I believe it was $ 6.95 for two skewers?). The flavor was nice and it was tender and moist, yet crispy on the outside, but nothing mind blowing and it didn’t come with a satay dipping sauce. The deep fried tofu(perhaps because I ordered it to-go) was soggy and forgettable — with no flavor, save for the dipping sauce. I found the pricing to be quite high at Bak Hauk, especially for what I got. I can understand the sushi being a bit higher in price as it was good quality, but the rest of my order was not so great and I definitely wouldn’t recommend them. I think I might return to Bak Hauk for a sushi fix one day, but I’m going to continue searching in Sherwood Park for a few more options.

Had dinner at bak hauk tonight and it was pretty darn good. The service was top notch, very attentive to drinks, service timing and the food came out super quick. We ordered nothing but sushi and drinks. The highlight was the tokyo roll which is a cross between a spicy salmon roll and a dynamite roll, it was delicious. The other rolls we got were pretty standard fare. Considering this place offers Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine their sushi is above par for edmonton.

Never been disappointed here! Sure is an awesome change to the typical buffet style restaurants. Bak Hauk has an amazing menu with so many items to delight your appetite! I have some favorites indeed… And the price can’t be beat!

Good food with attentive service. We had lunch with dumplings and Bento boxes. Yummy.

Unfortunately, this was the worst Vietnamese lemongrass vermicelli I have ever tasted. The chicken was, well, gross. Obviously the cheapest breast you can buy, and not quite fully cooked. Very little flavor, and not enough vegetables. Service was ok, but uninspired.
