I have been to a couple of eyewear stores and I think what differentiate Optical Thirty 8 is definitely the Customer Service! Highly Recommend DORIS, very friendly, professional and patient! I would say brand name pricing is reasonable and I like the add-​on bonus with no charge nose pad replacement and balance for my eyeglass that weren’t even purchased from there, along with the freebies (mini-​screw drivers, clothes and cleaners)!

Very friendly staff and open to questions, but do not expect a real bargain for your $ 15 for $ 150 value groupon. I was told $ 50+ superthin/​ultra-​thin lenses was mandatory for vision of –200 & more. Basic frameset is at least $ 120+. Eye exam is $ 75. Minimum total out of pocket still comes to around $ 120+50+75−150+15=- 110+tax. Versus I can get basic nameless brand glasses for $ 40 CAD or less overseas (eg. China/​Taiwan/​Vietnam.

I gave it a high rating because of their customer service in spite of feeling like I got the worst end of the bargain. I went to them after purchasing $ 15 of $ 150 of prescription and frame deal on Groupon. When I walked into the store I was greeted by friendly staff who assisted quickly. I was given water to drink while examining my prescription glasses. Dr. Patrick Eng, an Optometrist, examined my current glasses and noted that they are progressive. After my exam he assured me that I didn’t need progressive lens and was quite surprised I was prescribed that to begin with. I was pleased by his thorough and diligent eye examination. I was then helped to pick frames. I picked a non designer black frame that seems to fit me perfectly. I sat down as the lady processed my voucher and she said balance came to $ 168. Mind you that’s $ 318 for no name frame and lens. She was hesitant about giving me a receipt. I don’t know what that was about. Bottom line don’t buy into the hype of Groupon, do you research and ask questions.

Very good customer service, look for Steven, he will provide a professional advise for you. Price is fair and all staffs have smiles on their faces. Highly recommended if you need a pair of glasses.

Amazing service! Staff was professional and friendly and helped us immediately. Great selection of frames at reasonable prices. Staff was patient with us throughout the process and assisted in selecting the frame. They served us tea and coffee and were smiling throughout. The on-​site optometrist was professional and knowledgeable and explained the process thoroughly and made us feel very comfortable throughout the eye exam. I have been to many eyeglasses places and this was the best experience we have ever had. Definitely will be going back and recommend to anyone else. 2 thumbs up!

What can I say? They have amazing prices on glasses with first class service! You can get prescription glasses for $ 38! Service is phenomenal here. I bought a pair of glasses 2 years ago, a screw fell out of my glasses and they replaced for free, no questions asked, offered free adjustment also, and gave me a free package including lens cleaner and a free screwdriver to fix my glasses.
They have glasses for all budgets, men, women, kids although some of their stuff seems to be a knock-​off. Showroom is huge and very nice looking including a lounge/​waiting area with free coffee and tea! Never seen this before at an eyeglass place! Regardless, I would only buy from here.
