I went to Jingles based on other Unilocal reviews and this place did not disappoint. Lisa took care of me, she was polite and very professional. I had super bleached hair and long roots and was tired of constantly having to dye my roots so I asked for her to do something that would be less time consuming. She put alternating blonde highlights and colour close to my natural hair colour as the low lights. My hair looks fantastic! She also explained how she plans to do my hair the next time that way I only have to go for upkeep every 8months or so… She gave me exactly what I wanted without me actually knowing what I wanted. Considering the amount of time and work required for my hair the price was very reasonable too. Only downfall is that they don’t take debit, but there are banks in the area.

I went for highlights and a cut. I had Pushpa(sp?) and she was awesome. She gave me EXACTLY what I asked for, which is kind of rare in the hair business – at least it has been in my experiences. She spent so much time on my highlights, even though she was behind schedule because of a booking error. This is my 3rd time getting highlights and I always ask for the same thing — lots n lots of blonde highlights throughout… NOT chunky highlights. This is the first time I got what I asked for because she was willing to put in the extra time to do it right.(The previous two times were not at this salon.) I will definitely continue to go back here. Price wasn’t bad either-$ 180 for full head of highlights on long hair, and a cut,(of course with shampoos and styling and drinks and all that jazz as well). Every single employee there was friendly and welcoming! I would definitely recommend this place.

This review is not about the quality of the hairdressers or the salon but about our initial experience when we first walked into the salon last weekend. After walking passed this salon so many times, my husband and I decided to give it a try. There was no other customers in the salon when we walked in. There was a receptionist/counter girl who was too busy talking on the phone to acknowledge us and the 2 hairdressers that were there didn’t even bother to ask us if we wanted a service. The salon looked outdated with 8+ chairs crammed in on either side of the space and there was no indication of what their services cost. After standing around for about 5 minutes in front of the receptionist who continued to talk on the phone, we decided to just leave and find another salon where people actually wanted our business. Terrible first impression, would not return.

This place is fantastic! I came into the salon, new to area and was completely welcomed and put at ease. I have always had such a hard time finding someone to cut my naturally curly hair and not cut it all off! Finally after all these years I have found my salon! They doe exactly what I want and make great suggestions and are very honest with you if they think it wont work with your hair or look horrible, they dont just want your money, they really care about their clients! Its so nice in this day and age of everyone being out for a money grab, to find a place that gives you what you want, gives a darn and makes you feel like one of the family. I love going back and I am so happy that there is a source like Unilocal to help me spread the word! By the way ladies, if you want hilights or color that is done correctly and looks drop dead gorgeous, this is the place to go, my god they do the best job I have ever seen. When your sitting in the chair looking at the other clients and you cant choose which one you like better, your in the right place!

I’ve been going to this salon for about 10 years now. I started going after trying countless salons and not being able to find anyone that I wanted to keep as a hairdresser, and it didn’t hurt that it was down the street from my house. My stylist, Shana, LISTENS to me(!), which is hard to find. I used to have hairdressers do what THEY wanted instead of what I asked for, but it’s almost as though Shana can read my mind and give me exactly what I had pictured in my head. The prices there are reasonable and everyone that works there is friendly and not intimidating. I’ve recommended friends and family to Jingles, and everyone that has gone there has loved their results. I’ve since moved from Scarborough to Mississauga, but I still make the trek across the whole GTA, they are THAT worth it.
