For $ 10/​month, and ²⁴⁄₇ access… how can you go wrong? GoodLife owns Fit4Less I’m pretty sure. I Used to have a membership here… Amazing value. All the equipment is brand new and the staff were friendly and helpful always. It was cool to see them work out as well, made them more approachable and it felt less stuffy than other gyms.
Well maybe that’s the wrong word to use. In the *literal* sense, the gym was pretty stuffy. One downside is the lack of ventilation there, meaning a musky smell and sticky air all the time. It actually looks and sort of feels like a factory in there. But whatever, you’re there to pump some iron and leave. There is SO much equipment to use, and they have a 30min circuit routine for if you’re pressed for time but still wanna get a solid workout in. If you’re not the type to shower at your gym, then this basic membership is sooooo worth it.
I remember for a little extra a month you could also get unlimited tanning and access to massage chairs. But that’s a stupid offer, fake tanning is BAD FOR YOU.
Oh and if you’re a girl just letting you know this gym is about 90% male and some people are ultra weirdos so keep that in mind if you’re working out past 11pm

I don’t really have another gym to compare this to as this is my first. That being said, I’ve found it to be decent.
The equipment is basic weights and machines. There are no classes of any kind, as other posters have mentioned, but you’re aware of that going in. Memberships are cheap and very affordable. The gym is relatively clean (sometimes there are weights laying around, but this is more the fault of customers than employees).
I’ve been going there two years and never had an issue with other customers or staff.
The one drawback is definitely the door, which is a pain, but staff will general open it completely if there is a line of people waiting.
If you’re searching for an affordable gym that doesn’t cost hundreds of dollars a year, then this could be for you.

Really like this place. It’s basic (no showers, sauna, classes, instructors) but what they do have they do really well.

This is my backup location. It’s perfectly useful for my purposes. It’s got the cardio, weight machines, and free weights. Two tanning rooms. No showers, no fountain. Your standard Fit4Less location. I don’t care much for the lack of following policies by the staff, though. Often when I get there the door that requires a pass-​swipe to gain access is wide-​open so anyone who hasn’t bought a membership can come on it and take up machines I am paying to use. They almost never check membership cards for tanning (free for higher tier members, additional cost for lower tier clients) again meaning anyone can take up space I am paying for. They could also do with a little more attention to refilling the paper towel dispensers.
The door at this location is the worst part. There is only one entrance with a two part door. You swipe. It opens slooowly. You step into a tube. It closes slooowly. You swipe again. The second door opens slooowly. Finally you are in, 30 seconds later, getting dirty looks from the five people waiting on the other side to get out. The Lawrence Square location has two entrances where the doors have handles so you can open at your own speed once you tap the card. They should look into that.

Good value for your dollar.

But NO WATER FOUNTAIN ?!? Easily the most annoying thing about this gym.

I use to work out at Premier Fitness but that business was a debacle that didn’t end well, read the review on my page for more details.
In my search for a new gym, I was looking for a gym that wasn’t too crowded, had all the basic cardio/​weight machines along with a decent amount of free weights and didn’t cost me an arm and a leg each month. So my friend recommended a place called Fit 4 Less owned by Goodlife Fitness that was only $ 10/​month and open ²⁴⁄₇.
I didn’t believe him, so I went to check it out for myself. The deal is legitimate, the basic plan is $ 10/​month with a one time $ 25 joining fee with the option of cancelling anytime as long as you buy out the remainder of the annual fee. Essentially $ 5 is taken from your bank account every other week.
Pros:
1. A fair amount of new cardio and weight machines. Fair amount of free weights with dumbbells ranging from 5 – 75 pounds.
2. It’s open ²⁴⁄₇ but it’s only staffed Mon –Fri 7am –10pm and Sat –Sun 11am — 4pm.
3. Really affordable.
4. Not too crowded.
5. Ample parking.
6. Owned by Goodlife Fitness
Cons:
1. Open ²⁴⁄₇ but not staffed ²⁴⁄₇.
2. No classes (i.e. spin classes, yoga classes) but that’s how they are able to offer such cheap monthly rates.
3. No water fountain and tiny washrooms with no showers. It’s really really basic.
Essentially the gym is perfect for people who are looking for a good workout and not looking for any extra amenities.
