At the beginning of last month, I moved into a new apartment. There were a few existing window furnishings, which were possibly the most hideous patterns and colours I’ve ever seen. Luckily for me, my boyfriend’s mother graciously offered to make us curtains. We picked out some fabric at another store, then came here more recently for another(oddly shaped) window. They have a pretty good selection of pre-made curtains at decent prices($ 50 – 75), and they had a deal on so that it was 2 for 1. These are pre-lined curtains, so made the job even easier. The sales staff helped, but weren’t super friendly about it. They found the matching colour of thread for us(since the curtain will have to be altered to fit the window), and answered whatever questions we asked, but I always had the impression that they felt a little put out by us. The fabric selection isn’t great. I didn’t see any that I would have been interested in. The quality, the colours, the patterns… none of these things were very good in my view. Also, it’s rather difficult to see the store when you’re driving. We had already passed it and had to turn around when I happened to see it out of the corner of my eye. FYI, it’s in the same plaza as the Zellers. All in all, it had what we needed, and I would come here for sewing supplies but not for fabric.
