With the closing of the Blue Danube restaurant, the Association of Danube Swabians is one of the few locations left in Scarborough to enjoy authentic German food. But the only way to enjoy it is to partake in one of the Associations events, which are usually one per month. These events involve the Association’s membership, many of whom date from their entry to Canada in the 1950s and 60s. The food is highly traditional, and the events are a bit formal, but the food is worth it …
