He pretend to be so busy, try to ignore my questions!, anyway I still leave a pair of my leather shoe for repair(my shoes are still in good condition, I just want to prevent it further wear and tear), he use different material for my shoe, in additional, after repair, the two shoes did not have same height, I feel so uncomfortable to wear afterward. I went back, and ask him to fix the height, he done the job in min, and said to me «it’s ok now, and go, i don’t want to see you again!» I try to be nice all the time, I have not idea what I did wrong! Anyway, because of the bad material, the shoe become slipping when the floor is wet! It never happen before! I cannot even wear it after I try to repair it in this shop!

I’ve never had such a terrible experience that necessitated writing my own negative review. Unilocal for me, is usually used to decide whether I should try out a new place rather than review. But this place! BEWARE. I had woken up last Friday to a chewed up heel on a brand new pair of Franco Sarto heels. This was the closest shoe repair store to me and has one decent review so I thought why not? At first TONY, the old Italian man seemed sweet… I asked him how much it would cost to repair the heel he told me okay no problem… maybe 12 or 15 dollars and told me he would try his best. He asked me to leave the pair including the undamaged brand new heel and return Tuesday. He told me to leave a 20 dollar deposit. I thought wow, this sweet old man is making pennies. even is the job was 15 I was going to leave the rest as tip when I returned. I didn’t have high expectations when I returned on Wednesday and needless to say it wasn’t a nicely done job but I smiled and thanked him, left him the full 20. He had glued a small piece of leather to the heel and spray painted it. When I walked out of the store I realized there’s spray paint all over the side of the shoe including the undamaged one. I returned to ask him politely if he can just remove the paint for me. This is where it got bad, he took a look at it told me its nothing and to leave. I asked him again, this was not painted when I brought the shoe in and I can’t wear it with brown paint everywhere. He started raising his voice at me saying I didn’t pay him enough for his job and that its nothing and I’m wasting his time and to leave. I started getting angry saying that I paid for a service, if he couldn’t do it he shouldn’t have accepted it and now he’s damaged my merchandise. he took my one of my shoes rubbed some d50 on it and gave it back to me then started yelling and shaking things at me telling me to leave. This is the worst experience ever. Do not go here unless u want below par service and damaged merchandise! EDIT Feb 2016 Fyi, I have noticed that they changed owners shortly after I posted last year(good decision), they kept the same name but they’re now Korean owners. I thought I would update this to not damage business for the new owners. I may give them another try if I need some repairs done in the future.

Old Italian guy runs this place and he’s quite a charmer. The repair that I needed was replacement of the back heels of my boots. Price seemed reasonable($ 15) and they were ready within the time that I asked for(a lil bit less than 24 hrs). The only thing that prevented me from giving this place 1 more star was that the repair guy asked for payment up front. I would have DEFINITELY argued but my slow hubby was holding the money out… ARRGGGHHH!!! Anyway, no worries. Got my boots.
