History

Established in 2012.

Saturna Cottage was built by an Englishman in 2000 to replicate his idealized memory of a cottage «back home». It has beamed ceilings, diamond paned windows, a huge masonry fireplace and many quirky corners and features such as the Loggia that make it a charming and memorable vacation residence.

On the south side the cottage sits on a bluff in the canopy of maple and arbutus giants that grow from the base of the bluff. The kitchen bay window and Loggia face south and provide sunspaces throughout the year. The lawn and garden beds are to the west and provide an expansive level walking and play area. The cottage property comprises two acres and provides complete privacy.
