Lambton Mall

Shoppers Beware! I was about to enjoy a muffin and coffee outside of Coffee Lodge when something happened that shouldn't have. One of the chairs was missing a bolt and when I grabbed the side of my chair to pull it closer to the table my middle finger was caught between the base and seat of the chair. The pain was excruciating!! I got ice from Coffee Lodge. In hindsight, I should have used the medical staff at the Mall but I was feeling sick and faint and just wanted to leave! After a full day my finger was so swollen and painful I went to the Petrolia hospital. I had x-rays, tetanus shot and nail puncture to relieve the pressure (blood) and pain. The doctor thinks I may have a fracture so I am now wearing a splint until I see a fracture doctor on Wednesday! I am contacting the Mall as I do not want anyone else to go through what I just did (better me however than a small child!). Maintaining safe equipment is the responsibility of the Mall - negligence for certain!
