On Duck Creek

I’ve been coming to this bed and breakfast for about 12 years and I LOVE it! The host, Shirley McIntyre is delightful and her border collie Max is a whirling dervish of energy, rounding up the resident chickens and anything else that strays. Shirley always makes great breakfasts (her eggs Benedict, sausage pie, pea meal bacon and ginger scones are my favorites) and the different rooms I’ve stayed in here have all been very comfortable. The king size room has a microwave, TV, mini fridge, huge soaker tub, sauna and is enormous.
The rates are the best on the Island, ranging from $ 45 for a single to $ 95 for the king. there’s a beautiful little pond and creek and a gorgeous gazebo and hot tub. It’s near Vesuvius at the north of the Island. you gotta stay here– it’s delightful and great value. And you’ll love Shirley.
