Monsieur Felix Mr Norton

These are definitely the best cookies in the world. Pointless arguing against it.

Saviez-​vous que Monsieur Félix Mr Norton a un camion et qu’il est parfois stationné au Vieux-​Port? Et oui!
Pour la veille du jour de l’an, mon copain et moi avons décidé d’aller faire un tour dans le Vieux avant d’aller chez nos amis pour le coup de minuit. Armés de nos whisky préféré (lui: Glenfiddich, moi: Sortilège), nous nous sommes aventurés dans la nuit froide puis, tout près de la patinoire, nous avons aperçu le camion avec une petite file d’attente. On avait déjà pris le temps de souper mais sans dessert donc lorsqu’on s’est rendu compte que c’était un camion de biscuits… vous pouvez imaginer un éclairage mystique avec un chant d’ange apparaître…aaaahhhhh.
Les biscuits étaient bons et même encore un peu chauds. On a goûté à celui au caramel et chocolat, puis un autre au chocolat noir. Le prix était correct pour la grosseur du biscuit mais ça serait vraiment bien pour des soirées comme celle-​là s’ils avaient des biscuits un peu plus gros pour ceux comme moi qui se sentent moins coupable d’en prendre un seul mais qui en veulent plus! Ils font aussi leurs propres pâtes à biscuits que vous pouvez acheter congelée pour en refaire chez vous et pour que votre maison sente les bons biscuits frais.

While shopping in Montréal, watching my wallet bleed faster than it could clot, I figured I may as well indulge in some sinfully sweet treats. My girlfriend, who is a montreal native, pointed me in the direction of the sweet factory (which we have here in the states, mind you). In that same shop was a Monsieur Flelix & Mr Norton cookie counter (which we sadly don’t have in the states). Encased in glass were cookies perfuming the immediate area with that freshly baked calorie-​laden smell.
I had already decided to save room in my suitcase so I could shop for canada-​only snacks and dammit I was going to make room for these cookies also.
I got three of each: menage a trois (milk, white and dark choc), macadamia & white choc, pralines & cream, milk chocolate chunk, vanilla white chocolate, amaretto, nutcracker sweet (almonds, pecans, hazelnuts and walnuts and dark chocolate).
They arrange the cookies in a very cute, and very giftable white box. One negative, is that they’re a wee-​bit pricey, but hey I was already bleeding cash anyway.
Obviously, my sampler didn’t make it home untouched. I had my share of tastes here and there, and found my favorites to be the menage a trois, amaretto and the nutcracker sweet.
Great cookie combinations, bite-​after-​bite delicious, a bit heavy on the pockets, but overall, still a sweet deal.
