Monarch Specialties

This is by far the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with, in my life.
I ordered a furniture combo set at Surplus Mattress and Furniture in Kitchener and most of the contents were by Monarch.
If you buy anything at Surplus, ask if it is by Monarch. If it is, do NOT buy it. You have to assemble the furniture yourself. I generally don’t mind this.
What I do mind is the numerous phone calls I have to make to Monarch’s customer service number, to ask them to send me parts that were missing, like something as glaring as legs for a coffee table, and replacement parts for ones that are faulty or broken.
For most of it, they did promptly ship me the parts and I was able to move on with my life. However, one of the pieces of the furniture set that I purchased was a kitchen table and chair set. The chair legs have holes on the wrong sides to screw and attach the other pieces to. I called once about it, the rep had no idea what i was talking about and said someone from the warehouse was to call me back that same day about it.
Three business days later and not receiving a call back whatsoever, i immediately asked to speak to a supervisor. He actually knew what i was talking about and said that it was a known issue with these particular chairs but he assured me that the right legs will be shipped to me. Got them yesterday and guess what? Same legs again!
So I guess I have to call what I believe is the 7^th time in a month to these people. I don’t think they have any quality control whatsoever and have the most incompetent employees of any organization. Stay far far away.
If I had just bought the table and chairs alone, this would have been sent back already and I would have demanded a refund or exchange for something not made by Monarch. However, this was part of a package deal and I even asked Surplus before I bought the combo if I could exclude the kitchen table and chairs and pay less (since that was the smallest priority compared to what else was included in the deal), but they said if I did that, I would end up paying more.

**If you are looking at furniture that is made by Monarch Specialties Inc — Steer Clear!!! Trying to go through them (The manufacturer) Is like trying to have a conversation with a new born!!! USELESS and very unprofessional. You will never hear back from them after sending them photo’s of your damaged item and having numerous conversations with them they will vanish**
