Great selection of fresh and frozen meats. Certified wagyu beef. Best thick cut bacon ever. Very good helpful service.
Darcys is a locally owned and operated business in st. Albert. They have recently changed locations. The new location is quite large. Its actually so big. I actually was a bit overwhelmed my first time there. Luckily the service was top notch and i was approached rather quickly. Staff very helpful but not overly intrusive in helping me find what i was looking for.
I initially came for some bacon. But after a 5 minutes. The list grew larger ever minute i spent browsing around. They have quite a large assortment of sausages, cheese and assorted salamis precut. Some of it is quite unique like wild boar or elk. The bacon is a must buy. Its about $ 1 a piece average. But if you are cooking you can expect for 3 – 4 pieces a person. Seriously they are smoked perfectly and not overly salty. The proscuitto i bought was a great quality as well. Packaged nicely in a ziplock bag and cut for easy accessibilty. It is aeons better than any grocery store packaging. Im sure it keeps it fresher longer as well.
This place has every fresh cut of beef, pork, or lamb imaginable. With a small selection of premade items ready for cooking like burgers and seasoned seafood. In the frozen meats area there are lots of wild game meats available or cuts of the meat at a better price. So theres lots of options.
They also are the only butcher in alberta to sell certfied wagyu beef. Its frozen. But its a great quality and a splurge worth every penny in my books.
They offer professional knife sharpening services here as well. Just ask the staff about it. For Unilocal they have an amazing check in offer of 15% of your total purchase! But ask the staff for any specials. On my particular visit the bacon and sausages were buy 2 get 1 free. And all frozen beef products were 50% off. Wow. Amazing deals. Seriously not any more pricier than the grocery stores if you stock up during these awesome sales.
This is my top notch favourite butcher in the edmonton area. Im pretty sure alot of the high end farm to table restaurants get their meat here. The quality is superb and worth every dollar!

I can’t believe that tonight was my first visit to the new location since they moved last year just down the block.
The new building is AWESOME with loads of parking and sooooo much space!
It’s all the same fabulous D’Arcy’s meats and local goods we’ve come to love from 2^nd generation butcher, Kyle Isaac!
There are so many things I loved about the new space including the wall to wall chalkboard behind the counter with a hand drawn map of Alberta highlighting where all the local meat cuts are from — SO COOL!
A huge bonus about this location is the customer washroom, which as a mom with 2 small children is a HUGE bonus.
D’arcy’s always specials to encourage you to try some new to you things or stock up on favourites! Today we eyed up the fresh hamburgers with ½ ground beef and ½ ground pork — I cannot wait to cook these up for supper tomorrow night!
Another really cool think about D’Arcy’s is that they will butcher/​prepare wild game you’ve caught to your liking. I have several friends that SWEAR by the talents here and will never take their hunting wins elsewhere.
Also, Kyle and the gang at D’Arcy’s will can customize orders — want extra spicy sausages or gluten free hamburgers? They can do it!
2 years ago the hubs and I had custom made sausages with locally sourced meat for a cookoff contest at the Taste of Edmonton and all 3 judges picked our dawgs! I can’t help but be a little biased towards this great local business!
Sure the prices are a little higher than a grocery store but the quality and service is second to none!
