Description

Specialties

Here at Bill Mattick’s we emphasize local foods. Some of it so local, it’s actually grown right here on the property.

History

Established in 1991.

If you have been to Bill Mattick’s you have undoubtedly done a double take at the old man sitting up on the ledge (don’t worry you aren’t the only one who thought he might be real, just ask Jim Goddard in the pro shop about the time the police thought he was a burglar and had drawn their guns on him).

Were he alive today, Bill would probably not feel quite right in the restaurant that bears his name: too fancy, too big, no horse skins, but we do our best to make him feel comfortable. Each spring the restaurant is filled with tulips and daffodils from the property, you can always get a Black Russian and inevitably your meal will be interrupted by a wolf whistle from the resident myna bird.

Meet the Manager

Grant S.

Manager

Grant has been around the Victoria restaurant industry for a long time. A humble beginning at the Beacon Drive-In (aged 14) led to stops at Victoria Golf Club, the Blue Peter Pub and many others. As manager of

Swans Brewpub Grant came to the attention of Cordova Bay. Knowing that he was also an avid golfer Grant was the first (and only) choice when Bill Mattick’s needed a new leader. Five years on his sense of humour and dedication to the best possible dining experience are omnipresent.
