Didn’t realize there’s another Vietnamese option in Steveston, so thank you to Unilocal.Came here last weekend for an early lunch. We were the only table here at the time. First thing I realize after entering is I have to say that it is one of the cleanest Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to! Extra brownie points there. I ordered my usual phở tai. It came out pretty quickly. The broth is a little different but it was still pretty good. Could use a bit more meat. 3.5 out of 5 in my opinion. But this place gets the rounded up star because of its cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. They also have a full page of vegetarian options which I find is a bit rare for Vietnamese restaurants!

I hesitate to give Xyclo five stars, only because(much to my amazement and the amazement of everyone who knows me), I have never had phở before. So while it was absolutely delicious, I have no idea how its phở compares to others. But I can say the spring rolls I had with it were amongst the best I’ve ever eaten, and even the tea was superlative. I will definitely be returning here soon, and plan to try other new things.

There are now two Vietnamese restaurants in Steveston! I honestly have to say that the phở at Steveston Village Vietnamese Restaurant is better but Xyclo’s deep fried spring rolls are seriously so good! Xyclo seems a bit cramped and low-end, with the washrooms located past part of the kitchen and their menus designed with Microsoft paint? It’s definitely not somewhere that you would go on a date, but perhaps take-out.

Took out the Roll Tray which included 5 salad rolls and 2 spring rolls. The spring rolls were amazing, but the salad rolls were bad. as in they had the bad food smell. I gave one to a friend before knowing they had gone bad and he got food poisoning. There goes $ 18 worth of food.

Instant upgrade — while their coffee is so-so, not only did their phở win me over, but their deep fried banana ice cream, and a generous scoop to boot. No worries about not enough for every bite, like some other cheap places. Plus, I like their options for meat/tripe/tendon, you get to pick any combination or all 4. Just trying to watch my diet, believe it or not from the constant eating daily lol, and don’t like to waste food; so elected not to include rare beef. But beef balls are ok!

Excellent variety of foods, affordable prices and great customer service. What else can you ask for. Truly, one of the hidden gems when it comes to Vietnamese restaurants in Richmond.

I tried this new place with my girls. We had the Pad Thai which was very flavorful and had ample shrimp. It had the right combination of sweet and salty with the just the right spiciness. The salad rolls were also good. My other daughter had the Beef Phở noodle soup. Again, the flavor was just right. Not too salty as a lot of restaurant soups tend to be. The servings were not too small and we were all quite satisfied with the quantity and the quality of the food. The chef, Long, even came out and said Hi to us and asked us how we were enjoying our meal. the service is prompt and friendly. The place is clean and bright; the food is authentic and the prices quite reasonable. We would definitely add this as one of our favorites!

Came back for their spring rolls. Really enjoyed having a option for cold iced tea on a warm summer evening. Their Phở noodle quantity is now great!

If you are in Steveston Village, come try out the new Vietnamese Cuisine on MONCTON street… Delicious food at reasonable prices and friendly services!

Very flavourful and delicious food! We shared the chicken curry on rice and the appetizer sampler — which, at $ 15, is an affordable and generous sampling of five dishes plus a side salad. Atmosphere is diner-casual and service is polite and friendly. Gotta have the FBI for dessert!(Fried Banana Ice cream). They also do takeout.

Just found this newly opened place recently. It’s a very small family run hole in the wall place that has about 6 tables. Phở is the measure of any Vietnamese place and the offering here is very good. The soup stock has depth and noodles are competently done. The owner Cindy is very personable and the place is very casual. I will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu.
