Winners is one of my favourite stores and this location is a winner! The selection is actually a lot better than downtown and they have some amazing brand name finds. Unfortunately most of the clothing is made in China or Bangladesh but there are some Made in the USA and even Made in Canada finds and the prices are pretty reasonable. I love Homesense for housewares and affordable pillows, towels and other houseware needs. They really stock a wide variety of merchandise and like all Winners, it pays to be patient as you may come across a gem of an item located in the wrong section of the store or hidden under a pile of other things with those ubiquitous red clearance stickers. The fitting room associate at this location was also really lovely and actually was interested in helping customers find their size. I have never had a rude or snarky cashier at this Winners, either, and I really appreciate the great service considering they leave you alone to browse and shop, but then are helpful when needed. Ideal for the budget conscious and the patient shopper.

In terms of selection, this is by far a better Winner’s/Home Sense than the one downtown in terms of selection. I have tried on many occasions to get clothes that suit my style, however, unless I want to dress like a 50 year old secretary, no thanks. I can’t even by a basic blouse to pimp. As for the prices on clothes, there’s not much of a discount break and 9 out of 10 times, you can buy some of the designer clothes for the same cost. Believe it or not I go to this location for the packaged food market that has gourmet gluten free and baking stuff at reasonable cost. I was able to score a 1 oz bottle of pumpkin pie spice extract for my own home made pumpkin spice lattes. I have also scored some reasonably priced Chia and hemp seeds from winners compared to other grocery stores. If it is busy, be patient with the lines and listen to your ipod with relaxing music… you will need it as often people don’t know how to move up in line, stand in line properly and not know how to keep their kids under control while they run around in line. True test of patience is always a game in itself in a line at Winners. No worry as you’re divided between the many tills and walls of last minute impulse buys to entertain you.

You’d be surprised at what you can find here; pretty flats, cheap flip-flops, winter coats, children’s games and clothing, household items, gift sets, skin/body products, sport clothing, chocolate, stationary, jewelry, and more! They stock some household brands, but also ones that I haven’t even heard about. Last time I came here I got a raincoat for a very good price, even though I must have tried on 12 or more… don’t judge! They were all beautiful. Usually the S’s are combed through, but you may still be able to score a deal or two. The women’s clothing section is very overwhelming, but if you have the time it’s well worth it. They carry a brand of rain-boots from NY, but sadly they didn’t have my size. :’( The bag collection is also worth looking at, as are the tights that they sell. I wouldn’t trust their«skincare» products. The selection of shampoos and conditioners are random, but well-priced. They have a crappy refund/exchange policy though.

This appears to be the only location where I can usually find something, as the downtown store is so picked over and the Metrotown store is a mess. They are wonderful when it comes to returns. However, I think all Winners stores are overpriced now. There are quite a few times when I found GUESS items that were cheaper at the real GUESS store, especially when they have their seasonal sale where you get another 50% off the alrady marked down prices. Winners is NOTCHEAPER anymore. The LIE!

Ain’t going to lie, I love Winners. I actually have the patience to sort through everything to find a good deal. I’ve gotten so many interesting pairs of shoes here & dresses… and sometimes the odd purse. My favourite part is finding ‘scrapbook’ stuff in the homewares and using it to make homemade cards. I have been to most of the Winners, so I just chose Richmond randomly.

First Winners I’ve ever been to. The overall price of the store was… a little overpriced. Just average clothing for above average prices. But I did buy a wallet here for $ 8, nothing fancy. The store itself was fairly clean and organized enough for me.
