I had the roasted pork on rice. Man was handling the cooked meat with bare hands(no gloves). The chicken had hair on the skin still.

Was craving for BBQ duck the other day so I drove to Tak Fook to get some for lunch. The parking was a pain and finding 3 seats even after 1pm is still difficult. I think I made the wrong choice of having the duck with noodles instead of rice… The part of duck with rice that my friends looked better and crispier than mine… But it still tasted pretty good. Would go again for sure.

This little place has the best BBQ duck noodles in town! There is a very generous portion of BBQ duck and the skin is super crispy. The noodles are good too. This is my new go-to place for BBQ duck.

Roast duck is where it’s at! We ordered the BBQ Duck noodle bowl since the duck looked really good. I wasn’t even hungry at the time(this is after 48 hours of non-stop eating), but the duck was really delicious. The skin was crisp, not too fatty and it was just full of really good duck flavor. Roast duck is one of my favorite foods, and usually only a couple pieces(drumstick or wing area) are flavorful and juicy. The rest of the duck is enjoyable with more soy sauce. Here, the entire serving of duck is super juicy and flavorful — no extra soy sauce needed. The duck was so good, that after we finished lunch we wanted to order some to take home for dinner, so we went to the butcher shop in the mall that also sells roast duck, BBQ pork(char siu), etc. It had a 30+ minute line, but the duck at Tak Fook was 100x better.

The salted pork and thousand year old egg congee is good and the duck is excellent but keep away from the sub-par char siu. They bring out only one or two ducks at a time from the oven. The skin is so crisp and they’ve baked most of the fat out of the duck so it’s perfect to eat right off the bone. Nom nom nom. DUCK. QUACK.

This is basically the only place I eat when I go to Parker Place. They have the best BBQ duck dishes on rice or in soup with noodles. I’ve tried other dishes such as the beef brisket on rice, but I found there was too much fatty pieces. Stick with the duck!

(It’s not clear from the Unilocal listing, but this is in the Parker Place mall food court.) $ 7BBQ duck plates! Their duck is /amazing/here. You can get duck breast, duck leg(and they also have roast pork(siu yuk) and char siu) on a plate with rice and a little vegetables. The first two are the same price, but you can either choose to get a random plate or pay 50c more to specify which cut you’d prefer. Plates with more than one kind of meat also cost a bit more. The rice is nicely seasoned with soy sauce and there’s a pile of ginger and green onions served on the meat, which I like to mix into the rice. I’ve never tried any of their other dishes, just the duck and duck + siu yuk combos. To be honest, the siu yuk is only average — I order it because I like variety — so I’m giving it 5 stars for the duck. Also, I believe they close one Sunday a month, so you may want to call ahead on Sundays.
