Signature Mazda

Still, the same thing. This time, I have had my steering noise fixed again from here (surprisingly), only to have the 2 rubber plugs on the either side of the steering wheel go missing/​not reinstalled after repair. When I picked up my car, the assistant service manager stated that they will order new ones and will let me know when to pick them up. This was over 2 months ago. I am still patiently waiting for the phone call to pick up the plugs. I don’t know why I put up with this, maybe I am gullible? As a suggestion, they should take a note or 2 from Greg and Matt at Open Road Hyundai in regards to set customer expectations and to follow through. I give 2 stars this time due to the repair of the issue first time around and not go back to Destination. :/

Signature [service] was really good back in the day. After Dan, the service manager retired and Morrey Vancouver closed down, things did go downhill. One of Morrey’s ex employees is now working at Signature.
Some service advisors are really friendly and knowledgeable, others not so much. Some can be very overzealous. Parts department typically is quite helpful and courteous.
Sales staff seem to be quite busy in here as well as in the auto mall. It’s actually kind of odd not to have a sales rep approach you, but that’s ok. When they do, the staff I encountered were not pushy at all. That makes visiting a dealership all that much comfortable.
All Mazda dealerships now are required to have free wifi and beverage (coffee, hot chocolate) service. I can’t recall if this dealership has a TV though.
My biggest beef is that they don’t take American Express while other Mazda dealerships do.
Just a caveat, you need to be aware of the documentation fee. The president of the Vehicle Sales Authority and Registrar of Motor Dealers says the law requires full disclosure of all dealer fees and charges in the advertised price. He says adding in fees after the fact is a deceptive act.

Purchased a new CX5 from Arash and had a very good experience. He was knowledgable about the car and was very patient with all of the questions that I had. He took my wife and I on an extended test drive which allowed us to test the safety features and handling. I would definitely recommend Arash if you are looking into a Mazda. I would also recommend a CX5 if you are looking for a CUV.

When you spend13k on a car you’d expect to get decent service. This didn’t seem to be the case. It seemed as though because we were buying a second hand car, we got a second hand experience. Our problems and concerns were not a priority to the sale staff or management, it makes you regret giving them your money. Even after purchasing the car it took us weeks and multiple phone calls to get he second pair of keys and manual. Do yourself a favour, buy a car off craigslist.

My first experience at the dealership wasn’t the best but I decided to give them a second chance. I was out in the parking lot no more than five minutes before Arash came to see if there was anything he could help with. He spent the next 5 hours with me. I went in with the intention of buying but he worked through the pros and cons of buying vs leasing. After crunching numbers and reading the fine print, I found myself leasing a new 2015 Mazda 3. I never thought I would see the day when I would lease a car vs buying one.
Arash was very patient with me and treated me with respect. I’m knowledgeable about cars and mechanics (I can take the dashboard off of a 1988 Honda accord in under 15 minutes. not bad for a girl!) and didn’t feel at any time like I was being undermined. He was very knowledgeable about the car and all of it’s features. I had the pleasure of meeting with Dave, the manager, and everyone was really friendly.
Unfortunately, there was a bit of a wait to get my car (which was not their fault) and I know they did everything they could to keep me happy. The day finally arrived to pick up my car. It was actually wrapped up with a bow on it. I went off to do the paperwork and somehow misplaced my father, who I brought along as I needed to switch cars. As I was finalizing the lease, I realized that my father was now surrounded by Arash and Dave. At some point the hood was popped and they were talking shop. My father and I have been in sales for a very long time. I wasn’t sure who to feel sorry for.
I ended up speaking with Dave and Arash after and as I assumed, my father put them through the wringer. He asked them all sorts of questions and they were patient with him and his questions. By the time my father left, he was calculating a lease as he’s in the market for a new car. He was impressed by them (and even happy that he was able to stump them on one question).
I’m all about customer service. Arash and Dave made me feel like I was a person and not just another number or sale. I feel very comfortable in contacting them if I have any issues or concerns. Unfortunately, the only concern I now have about the car is I’m terrified of parallel parking, people dinging my doors, and some nights I resist going down to the garage to make sure it’s ok.

I got a hold of the general manager, and after a heated discussion with him, I was able to get the fee reduced from $ 695 to $ 300. I still feel like I shouldn’t be paying the fee at all, but better than no concession.
Additionally, on the actual buyout day, without further notice from what we had agreed upon from the prior phone call, Signature Mazda would not seal the deal unless I adhered to the condition of taking down my honest review of Signature Mazda on Google even though it was never discussed during the prior phone call.
Overall, a very negative experience, leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Long story short, out of all of the dealership I visited at the Richmond automall to test drive cars, this one was the only one where service was actually offered. Basically, it means someone actually wanted to help us and not ignore us.

I went in with my boss at the time and he had an old Explorer. He wanted a VW but I thought I would ask him to try a Mazda3 as it has higher quality ratings and SkyActiv so better highway mileage. He did test drive it at Signature and loved it. He bought one.
I find the people here friendly and no pressure.:-D

Leased a 2011 3 from this dealership, and the purchase experience was ok. Bobby was friendly and didn’t try and up sell me. The problems were when we got to the invoicing and down the road. When I received the invoice there was a $ 800 charge for the «Mazda added protection» warranty. I asked why there was extended warranty as it was a lease and would be returned and they told me «oh you have to get that because its a lease, we want to make sure it comes with all factory mazda parts when its returned»…ok… Later find out in the fine print this was 100% optional. A couple years later I decide to get out of the lease, I contact them to get my buyout payment and it was like pulling teeth. I asked what the early buyout payment fee would be and I was quoted $ 750, I didn’t trust this so again looked in the fine print of my lease contract and it was actually $ 350. I had enough so I went elsewhere. I eventually purchased a car from a good mazda dealership, they got the lease paid out to them and the car was sold to my new dealership. BUT a month later the lease payment was withdrawn!!! even though the car was purchased by another dealership then sold to a new customer!!! they didn’t cancel the lease! Luckily my new dealership called them on it and after 3 weeks had the money refunded to me. wow… They nickle and dime their customers and add fees and warranty you don’t need. slime balls.

Service pretty good here, was sitting in and out of the Mazda 5 and CX5, asked twice by 2 different reps if I needed any help and left me alone.
Good comfortable seating area with a fancy dancy espresso/​cappachino machine.
apparently if you’re close to really buying a car, you can actually take it for a day ;)

I bought my new car here in ’06 and still take her here for servicing.
The buying process was straightforward. I brought my dad with me because he’s a tough old guy and bargains for a living.
My car is usually ready when they say it will be. Most of the service guys are pretty nice, with the rare few being really awesome because they’ve chatted with me on and off over the last 7 years. Some are downright rude, just like in any business, and I refuse to deal with them.
Part of the deal with my car is free tires for the life of the vehicle. Over the years, I’ve had some ups and downs with this program. Not with the tires, but with the administration.
For a little while they required you to bring in the paperwork in order to receive the free tires. I called bullshit and told them to pull the contract from their own files if it was so important — the forms were filled out in triple. That has since stopped. And then, they can’t figure out how to enter them into the POS system. I find this the most frustrating because I have to wait around while they do their thing. It’s their program and they need to know how to administer it.
Other than that, car’s still in good working order, paid for, and has free tires. So, not too shabby.

This dealership makes their cars look good by hiding its issues (i.e. wax, polish, cheap paint). 1 month after purchasing my car, the paint started peeling off the front and rear bumpers. When I took it to a bodyshop to have a look, they said someone tried to cover up the scratches with cheap paint. So in order to fix it, it’s going to cost $ 2,000 for a car they told me had a perfect body.
The kicker is that they also told me it needs nothing after driving off the lot. At my first service (at a different dealership) I found out all the maintenance was behind, which cost me an additional $ 700.

If you’re buying a used car, check the price online. It’s probably less than the dealership price.

The worst car service in the lower mainland. Even if you’re late for 10 minutes, they don’t keep the promise for how long it would take. The service desk people are obnoxious and plain rude. Also, watch out for the salesmen. They are very sneaky… buyers beware

Went in for a regular maintenance check-​up and customer service was fine, as usual. The people here are friendly. While I was waiting, I thought it was a bit unprofessional for the parts guy to be asking one of the service guys to check out something on YouTube. Clearly, nothing better to do with his time whether or not he was on a break. Other than that, they were pretty attentive when a customer dropped by.
What I found odd was that my Visa was declined twice even though I tried using it at a retailer later that day and the purchase went through fine. Sketchy moment aside, the service guy told me exactly what was done for the appointment and what I had to pay for. I used to take my car for servicing in Burnaby where I got my car but that was too far. They did a pretty good job there as well but I found that in Richmond, they give more thorough details as to the service work that was done.

Not a fan. Felt totally baited & switched earlier this year when I went in with the intention of buying a new Mazda 3. The model they offered to hold for me wasn’t, I was up-​sold into something else, and when I went to sign the final papers the rate was a full point off what the salesman said. Walked away, never to return.
