I used to come here a lot a long time ago when I was in the area. It’s your typical chinese barbecue with roast pork, barbecue duck etc. It’s a bit more pricey than other places but the food is top notch. I usually order a whole duck, cut it up myself and then make congee with the rest of the carcass… so flavourful! The owner, don’t know what his name is is a really nice guy, before when I used to buy a lot of stuff from him he’d throw in some extras for me, some soya sauce wings, or just whatever. I hadn’t been here for a long time(probably 5 – 6 years at least) but when I came in today he still recognized me. I thought that was pretty cool. I’ll be back!

Sam is lively and funny, and he can make a mean BBQ pig, Chinese style. Both his crispy-skin pork(siu yuk) and char-siu are top-notch. I think his secret has to do not only with the cut of meat but the animal itself(he sources pigs that fall somewhere between baby and adult). Anyway, it’s delicious. Every slice of meat glistens with just the right amount of marbling, and every bite is tender without any of the dry, fibrous texture of lesser products. Sam’s flavors are more subtle than Chef Eric’s at Hong Kong BBQ Master in the Superstore structure, so you’ll need to decide if you like a more intense flavor or not. All the same, this is quality meat, and it’s no secret among the lines of people who throng here for morsels of it. Closed Thursdays.
