Payless Shoesource

There’s usually a sale going on in Payless… aka BOGO Buy One Get One Half Off. So, I naturally find myself browsing the many rows of size 5 shoes in Payless. Most of the time I leave the store finding nothing I fancy and unacknowledged. However, today the shoe gods were on my side.
Firstly, to my surprise, I found 3 pairs of shoes that I thought had huge potential. After trying on one pair. Blah. But the other two were great! I chose an American Eagle black wedge peep-​toe and a pair of matte black heels with memory foam built in. Both fit perfectly and were comfortable. I found there was the option to try on the «wide» version of the shoes as well, for those who have wider feet — which you don’t always get the option of doing in some stores. I enjoyed the carefree nature of trying on the shoes and independence of searching for your size and styles. More than enough room to strut your stuff on the carpet aisle and stomp on through to the hard floors in the front of the store — a good thing to do, to try and see if there’s any comfort in walking on hard surfaces.
Lastly, to my surprise, I found the service from the salesman there was so refreshing and lovely. He was friendly and was around when needed, yet away enough to not seem like he was hovering. Occasionally, he’d come by and comment on the shoes I was trying on but never pressured me to buy more or to hurry up.
In the end, I left happy with 2 new pairs of shoes for a total of $ 60! They accept SPC too! Paying less at Payless just makes sense.
