I visited Dr. MacIntosh today at her clinic in Broadway. It was my first visit. The wait was 1−½ hr. It was definitely worth the wait. The clinic is staffed by two experienced and extremely polite receptionists. Dr. MacIntosh is highly efficient and competent. In spite of her overcrowded clinic, she takes time to answer all of my concerns thoughtfully. She is definitely top class.

This is quite possibly the most claustrophobic room that I have ever been in. :X Seriously it was more than crammed in there. However the doctor knows what she is talking about, and wasn’t rushing like many doctors who have 8+ people waiting do. This is likely one of the reasons why she is so backed up, and the fact that the receptionists overbook! If you can get a appointment at 8am, there won’t be much of a wait; maybe 10 minutes. After 11, you are looking at 45 minutes. Not worth it. There are plenty of other ophthalmologists who are competent, and who won’t make you wait close to a hour for a 5 – 10 minute visit. She also has another office on Broadway. And you need a referral from your GP/optometrist to see her.
