The hostess sat us at a bad table so we asked her if we could have another table .her response was«that’s fine, sit wherever you want then». We soon realized she was a waitress manning that area and we were now with another waitress. The new waitress was as non-pleasant as the last one and our food was terrible. The lamb burger was obviously previously frozen from a bag type of hockey puck and the Yvr omelette came with so much canned seafood I could barely choke it down. I asked for ketchup and she said«it’s already on your plate» instead of asking if we wanted extra and making me look stupid. What a crappy place, never again!

Island effect restaurant! It survives because it is the only restaurant style eatery in the airport. This place has solid potential to be good. It just doesn’t live up. Service isn’t bad, just slow. I will never get why airport eateries have such slow service. The menu wasn’t anything special. My meal was solid. It was the lamb burger. It was definitely the highlight. The restaurant wasn’t the cleanest. Fruit fly were all around and a little bit too much dust on too many surfaces. Prices were reasonable for sure. I will most likely pass on my next trip through Vancouver.

Great food, warm ambience and Amanda the bartender is a total sweetheart. Koho made my 5 hour layover into a great time.

Steadily downhill… I ordered the chicken strips and fries thinking that was hard to mess up, but they had terrible batter and the fries were cold. Service is still poor, I wish they would hire more people I feel horrible for the waitstaff running around behind bar making drinks then taking our food orders and delivering them! I just received a rude compliment to my account from a random user about this review, if you’re acting on behalf of koho then comment and respond through proper channels! Fantastic food, absolutely terrible service. The YVR burger and koho beer were to die for. The service was insulting. At every step, being seated, waiting for a server, waiting for drinks, waiting for food and waiting for check, I had to raise my hand and flag someone down to find out what was going on. I sat there with an empty plate, playing on my phone for 15 minutes before I had to flag someone down and ask if I could PLEASE have my check so I could leave! About half of the tables were occupied. I don’t know what was going on. Despite the food, I wouldn’t go back. It just took too long.

Just dropped a business partner off at the airport and stopped in here for Brunch. As far as Airport’s go I am used to paying ridiculous prices for terrible food. This always seems to happen in «Location Prisons», which include Movie theatres, ferries, schools etc. I was pretty happy about my meal here. We went in at about noon on Saturday. Place was 50% full, nice seating. We ordered a Quinoa Salad and the Eggs Koho — which was a smoked salmon Benedict with Asparagus for $ 14.50. My eggs were cooked perfectly, the smoked salmon was decent. Potatoes were just as good as Zen or anywhere else that serves the Potato Cubes. Asparagus was 2 or 3 sticks, good but small. So overall we had a good meal, it was probably $ 2 more then usual, but at YVR thats a deal. Your other choice is fast food garbage in the food-court. I was actually pretty happy about getting a somewhat normal meal experience here. It’s very comfy and new. If your stuck at the Airport I would come back and have a decent meal before your flight.

A casual, sit-down breakfast, lunch and dinner option at YVR. The service can be quite slow when they are busy(due to lack of staff), but otherwise it is friendly, efficient service. The food is diner style and the standard items are consistent. The regular breakfast is a a good option, as is the spinach florentine served with spinach and asparagus. Located in the international terminal(pre-security), on the second level just above international arrivals. 30-Days of Unilocal 2012 — 9⁄31

Not bad in our YVR International section, and compared to the food court… I can say this is the best spot for a nice game night. If you come on the weekdays, there are no one here. Only a couple of tourist, and a couple of Vancourites leaving the country or just arriving. The people who work here are very attentive with their customers, which is a by far a good thing for customer service. Sometimes when I am so in depth with my conservation with my friends or in the Hockey Game(Game 5VS Chicago) they just know when to fill up my water or our bottomless pop. It was amazing service. We ordered their chicken strips. And a basket full of onion rings to top off our heart attack that night at the same time watching the game. Everyone would crowd around the area and cheer for Canucks, same with the bartender. He was very nice to everyone it seems like because he created an amazing vibe with all the customers. The food was mediocre and was passable, it’s just a tad pricey for it to be just bar food. We did have a good time though as their service was extravagant, and this is the latest restaurant that will be opened in YVR. So come here if you are going for a late flight to somewhere departing from YVR.

I guess this place stays in business because of its location: the airport. Enough people passing by without knowing any better. We came here instead of the food court, so we could sit in a quieter spot. I honestly think that was the only better thing about it. I had their recommended seafood potato skin(don’t remember the official name), but it didn’t taste like anything. Sure, I could see the seafood on it, but it wasn’t salted enough for any of the flavours to be enhanced. The chicken strips looked like something out of the freezer section. They weren’t cheap, either. The service was normal, fine, but nothing to make up for the food. Looking at the other reviews, it seems like beer is the best thing here.

Since YVR took away the Milestones and have yet to open the White Spot(ugh) in its place, I was stuck with no other option for breakfast at the airport before my friend left on her flight. We had to walk all the way over to the International side, but the YVR staff lady I asked said it was good. She lied. I should have got her name. The service was friendly enough, but the food was bleh. My waffles were kinda dry, and didn’t look or taste freshly made. My friend’s omelet had chewy, thin eggs wrapping the fillings. We suspected they were from a carton. We asked after, and the waitress said they probably were. She offered to bring new eggs, but we didn’t have time. I’ve honestly never seen an omelet with eggs like that. I tried the egg, and it was not good. For a $ 13 omelet I would expect fresh eggs. Skip this place unless there is nothing else open.

Beer was okay. Salad was not. Thai was delish. A much better alternative than fast food or the food court if you want to relax for a bit on a layover or if you are super early for a flight(like we were).

The thai was good, spicy good. I wouldn’t suggest eatting the salads. Pretty boring. Great place to sit and enjoy a couple beverages before heading to the gates.

we stopped in for some wine and to follow the hockey game before i had to catch my flight. we sat right at the bar and the big screen was awesome. friendly staff. got our first round. then we got asked 3(!) times(by 2 different servers) if we wanted a refill before we were even ¾ through the glass. ok ok we’ll have another round… luckily we ate before we got there. menu looked ok but pretty pricey. so were the drinks. 4 glasses of house wine with tax and tip cost me $ 45

This spot mainly wins stars for convenience, really. It is one of the few non-food-court options in the international terminal. But still doesn’t succeed at escaping the bustle of the plastic-tray crowd. Prices are a dollar or two more than you’d expect to pay in a typical bar-restaurant with a purely typical menu. Calamari; chicken Caesar salad; quesadillas; ahi tuna — no surprises here. We found the service slow and didn’t see our server much. We waited for the food, waited for the bill. I had the Stuffed Spuds, which were nicely non-greasy and came with a potent, spicy dressing. I’d order them again if I returned here by rare chance. If you’ve got the time to sit down for a meal before going through security, I’d suggest stop en-route rather than going to uninspired Koho.
