Jet Set Parking

There are several negative reviews, but my experiences have been positive.
RESERVATIONS
I book online and save some money. At the parking lot, I use the credit card I used for the reservation to enter and exit the lot. I have only used this lot twice, but it worked fine both times.
I know that we would not get a partial refund even if we exit the lot earlier. According to one of the reviewers, we do not get a refund if we could not use a reservation and it’s impossible to get customer service. If that were to happen to me, I would probably take it up with the credit card company to dispute it.
SHUTTLE
I have found their shuttle to be frequent enough. Probably the longest I have waited is 10 minutes. Even when I arrived in Vancouver around midnight, I was picked up by a shuttle in 5 minutes or so.
FEE
Because I live in Bellingham, I fly out of Seattle sometimes and Vancouver sometimes. Their fee is very competitive; It’s much cheaper to park in Vancouver (JeT Set) than in Seattle.

This parking lot worked fine for us during a 9-​day parking stay; would park here again.
We prebooked/​prepaid on their website about a week in advance and paid about US$ 83 for 9 days. The entrance was well-​signed and our credit card worked fine when we used it to enter the lot. These are my notes about JetSet for when I park there next time:
–Book in advance online using credit card
–Print and bring confirmation
–Use same credit card to get the gate to open for you (don’t take a ticket)
–Use same credit card to exit (or give your confirmation printout and credit card to gate attendant)
–No refunds for exiting early; the regular rate (higher than prepaid) applies for additional time if staying longer. It took us about an hour from landing time to pick up our car, but I’d allow at least 90 min on the parking reservation time to be safe.
–Be sure to note (write down or note/​photo on your phone) the row where your car is parked (the lot is very large)
–The shuttle runs every 15 minutes or so and picks up/​drops off at several locations in the lot (e.g. they stopped next to our car when they saw us unloading our luggage)
–Remember where you get dropped off at the airport because you will catch the shuttle at the same location after returning

This is my first experience at long term parking in any airport. It’s just off the main road to YVR so it’s easily accessible. We parked in «C» near the covered shuttle pick-​up shelter. The bus comes every 20 minutes and the drivers were very helpful with bringing on luggage and friendly with all passengers. One of the drivers even offered to help some older folks load their luggage into their van which was parked close to the shelter. The shuttles will park near Arrivals and it’s a short escalator ride up to Departures. On our way out, the lady explained to us that our company discount card wasn’t working (perhaps the mag stripe) but she still gave us our discount (yay!) Unfortunately she forgot to tell us about getting Aeroplan points so I missed out on a few points. Nevertheless, the amount of money we paid for parking for 4 days more than compensated for the amount of money we would’ve had to pay for a cab.

It’s lacking someone to talk to (besides the bus driver who are very friendly). That reading of the credit card does not work, maybe it should go with the mag strip facing up? But why would you read credit cards like that?
Needless to say I had to take a paper ticket because I had people behind me and the gate was not reading my credit card at all. The reason for the three stars is because I called and left a message explaining my issue before I took my plane. On my return they were able to remove the higher paper ticket price and honored my reservation price. There was a guy this time in a new booth under construction and thankfully he found me on the list.
They need to invest on top notch gate/​readers if they want to fully automate their service. The old gate only had a slot for the credit card, a button for the paper ticket and a speaker that connected to someone’s full voice mail box.

Very poor experience.
The previous Long Term Parking at YVR is now called «Jet Set Parking». The name could not be more inapplicable. One aspect of their business is the ability to pre-​pay and receive a discount along with other benefits with BCAA and Aeroplan.
The idea is that you enter the parking area at the gate with the credit card you pre-​paid with. The problem is that the read at the entry gate rarely (if ever) works. The result is that you have to obtain a ticket to enter, then go through the manned booth upon exit (which is very slow, negating any time benefit whatsoever).
Another poor aspect is their buses. I uses the plural term loosely since it appears that instead of running two buses they only run one shuttle bus. On a recent return from Mexico I observed minimum two Park ‘N Fly shuttles in the time it took one Jet Set bus to arrive. This resulted in the bus being overcrowded with luggage throughout the aisle of the bus (these issues have been noted by previous reviewers over a year ago).
Overall very, very poor customer service and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it’s service.

Royally ripped off last time for booking ahead and parking for a shorter time, and they would not accept my discount. Does this make sense to you? Nope; not to me, either. These guys are nothing short of being sheisters. As others have suggested, I might as well take a cab each way. There has to be better than this; sad that they are allowed to operate like communists. No longer recommended.

We usually make other arrangements to get to and from YVR but someone suggested JetSet Parking so we decided to give them a try. Booking online was easy and very reasonably priced. Both upon arrival at YVR and when leaving YVR we didn’t have to wait for a shuttle bus as it was right there. They run very frequently. What I liked most is the drivers. They are super nice, very friendly, and they are true gentlemen. The shuttle bus drivers help you with your luggage and engage in friendly conversation. They feel like old friends even though you’ve just met them! They provide a superb start and finish to any vacation. I highly recommend JetSet Parking and definitely plan to use their services the next time I need to fly out of YVR.
