Forever 21

Well I just called your Richmond and Burnaby BC stores. After 15 rings the Burnaby store finally picked up the phone. The lady was rude and had no idea what I was saying. All I asked if the fall dresses were in yet. Need one for Nov 27. I said but you have them online and she didn’t even try to explain and just hung up. Well lady you lost my $$$$

I love Forever 21, however, I find that the selection here isn’t what it compares to at Metrotown. Granted this location is smaller than Metrotown but rather than focusing on a small selection of quality and diversity, they stick to clothes that are sub par which is not true representation of what this store is all about. I wanted to really like this place as I did see a retro throwback Power Rangers sweatshirt but the customer service was awful and rude.

Really like their clothes, however it is almost impossible to actually find what you’re looking for because everything is so messy. The customer service is A T R O C I O U S. Honestly, they do not care one bit about their customers. I even heard one of their staff say «manager? what manager? we never have one working!» so it’s good to know they’re being disciplined.

Disappointing customer service is the reason for my rating on this store. My experience was in the Guildford location.
After spending over $ 200 on clothes for my daughter we arrived home to find that the cashier had taken the bikini bottoms my daughter had tried on and fell in love with and given us a different size! The mix up was completely her fault — we came to the counter with one pair which fit and left the store with another. After Calling the store within 3 hours of leaving they claimed that all of the size we need were gone. Now they have offered store credit only as a solution — they will not refund the amount I paid for the wrong article of clothing — even though their cashier is responsible.
I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Some items are fun, but majority of stuff in this store are cheap and this shows in the quality. The customer service is very poor. I have shopped several times here, especially for my nieces; however, what store in 2013 does not provide price adjustments? Considering there are so many competitive retail franchises that offer similar styles for cheap, this is a poor move. Basically if you purchase an item that goes on sale the next day, there are no exceptions for price adjustments. Don’t expect much more from this store.

I usually end up ordering most of my Forever 21 goodies online, but occasionally I will go into a F21 store. First off, I love their clothes. Yes, some of it looks cheap or tacky, but at least F21 covers every type of fashionista from boho, edgy, girly, artsy, preppy, etc. Most of the things I’ve bought over the years at F21 are surprisingly decent quality, the best probably being their jeans. I think what you may need to watch out for is the lining in their jackets and their jewelry. I own at least 3 of their jackets and I wore all of them for months on end and their linings all eventually got small tears. The jewelry is cheap and sometimes falls apart easily or bronzes fast.
The reason I order most of my F21 clothes online is because the store doesn’t have my size in the things I like most of the time (I wear size XS or S). Either that, or the store doesn’t have the item at all. Each store gets different stock, I should note.
Their customer service and cleanliness at the store are the worst. The employees are clearly way too busy re-​stocking racks and shelves (you kind of get ignored until you approach them, but it depends on the store). The workers are incredibly nice and helpful when you ask, though. They are more than willing to help, but you can tell that their main priority is the clothes, not the customer service. What turns me off of shopping in-​store 60% of the time is the fact that the store is so messy. Things are just thrown everywhere. The unattractiveness makes me not want to look through everything. They’ve laid out their different lines in sections like Heritage 1981, Love21, formal wear, kids, etc, but even then the store is still messy. The sale section may have amazing deals, but I don’t have time to sort through the dozens of racks filled with miscellaneous sizes. I’ve only ever come out of the store buying something maybe 2 or 3 times in the last 3 years. Otherwise I get everything from F21 online as much as I’d rather go out to shop.

I like ForeverXXI for their clothes and accessories. It will be better if I buy them online though because I dont get any good services at their locations. I’m giving this store 3 stars because their location is a lot neater and organized compared to other forever21 locations and they had some of the stuff that are out of stock in metrotown.
I’m deducting 2 stars because of 2 important things which is SERVICE & QUALITY. I dont expect the best quality here of course but it’s not THAT cheap either. Im not talking about their clothes, their clothes are fine. Im talking about some of their accessories. I bought a watch there for $ 23+ and went home only to find out that the lock for the watch is broken! How am i supposed to wear it now? I wasnt able to test it in the store because the alarm thing was attached there so you wont be able to close it. Now can I return it? NO. All accessories are final sale. Can I at least exchange it for a working one? NO. Boo. The watch still works though, but I wouldnt want to use it as a pocket watch, would you?! Plus, it has those 3 small dials in the watch, one for seconds and the other two I forgot what for. But either way, Apparently those are just design. They dont work and I guess they’re not supposed to in this watch. Oh and don’t give me that «oh it was just a $ 23 watch, what do you expect» crap. I bought a watch from shoppers and it only cost me $ 12 and after 2 years of using it daily it’s still working and not a scratch on it. Also bought 3 for $ 15 dollar watches in Ardene before and they work fine too.
The next thing is service. We all know customer service is very important. When I was shopping there, i was in a hurry looking for specific things because the mall is about to close in 20mins. But I guess the staff are too lazy to help out customers because it’s closing time. I walked around looking for someone to help me, no one’s around except for the cashier. When i did find someone, TOTALLY NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. All I got was a «sorry we dont have anymore, whatever’s there is what we have, none at the back». first of all, that wasnt the answer I was looking for. I was asking if they had any ring with a turquoise rock and i asked other things. I was hoping she would HELP ME find it but nooo she gave me like a «go find it yourself in that pile of rings we dont have anymore at the back and Im busy trying to look busy fixing hangers» :|. She didnt even smile or ask if everything was going alright. Dont they train these people? Sheesh. Even mcdonalds give better service than them.
I dont usually ask for help or service when Im shopping but this time Im in a hurry and am looking for something specific. And I wouldnt be so mad about the watch if their service was outstanding.
Bad service + went home with a broken watch that cant be returned/​exchanged. I hope they sell their watches in boxes in the future like they do in Aldo Accessories to keep them unscratched and intact.

Forever 21 is the mecca of cheap, trendy threads and I would make the trek to metrotown every couple months to stock up. I’ve been really unimpressed with the selection at this location. It’s a lot smaller and nothing is even remotely organized. Plus there is more clothing on the floor than on the racks. I would much rather trek out to Metrotown than shop here.

I LOVE this store. Afforadable and fashional clothing for women :) They also have a range of selection for accessories and shoes. If you are not looking to spending much, this the perfect place to buy tanks, tees, leggings, dresses, rompers, cute tops, etc!
MUST try on their clothing before buying, they have an exchange only or store credit policy. Their sizes vary from style to style.
The only downside, the fitting room line can be long, especially on weekends! :(

This is my go-​to place for finding the latest trends at a decent price. You can find everything in this store: All types of clothing, accessories, bags, shoes, undies, bras, make-​up, socks. you name it! Also, there are different sections in the store that have a unique collection of clothes style: Classy, Trendy, Retro, Feminine, Casual, etc. There’s a men’s section as well, though it’s pretty small but there’s still some good items.
Make sure to allot a good amount of time to browse the store because there’s so many items you have to be pretty meticulous to make sure you get your eyes on everything. I usually spend a good hour in here.
Change rooms are spacious, illuminated well and there’s a mirror in your stall. Look out for the *Clearance area near the change rooms too!
Line-​ups look long but they’re good with keeping an eye on the crowd and they can open up to 6 cashiers at one time.

A recent addition to the newly revamped section of Richmond Center, this is one of the smaller Forever 21s that I’ve seen.
They carry women’s and men’s clothing, as well as accessories. With the shop being so small, the layout of the place is a little weird. The women’s section is divided.
Here, you can find clothes for the younger clientele, and an occasional good find. It’s not the best quality, hence the low prices. Basics, jackets, dresses, jeans… basically they have all catergories covered. I’m here more for their accessories.
