Remarkably good deals on food. The food is average HK Diner quality. They are open late night I’d come back. Nice comfortable interior where I can loiter.

I only get takeout. Food is okay at a good price in this area. I usually get a cold Cantonese style milky tea at no additional charge. 4 stars will come back for takeout.

Backgroud: I used to go to 1+1 starting back in its e. canteen days. The has never been terrific, but has always been honest and a good deal. On average, my fiancé and I would go there at least once or twice a month. This restaurant has always been our go-to place if we couldn’t figure out where to go. Fast forward a name change, price changes and management changes to today. My fiancé and I decided once again to go to 1+1 because we couldn’t pick where to go. Service: I had the 3 choices meal(first page on their menus) with my choices being 2 chicken steaks and 1 rib eye steak on spaghetti. The manager(or what I suppose is the manager since he’s wearing differenrt coloured clothing) takes our order then leaves to enter it in. The food and drinks come rather quickly as in the past but my order came as a 2 choice meal, with one chicken steak and 1 rib eye steak instead. I immediately tell the waiter that my order is wrong and the manager comes back. His exact words to me were«If you’d like to order a second chicken steak, it will be an extra dollar». He then brought over a menu and pointed out that if I wanted to «double up» on any of these items, I will have to pay an extra dollar. I scanned through the menu quickly and ask where this«additional dollar» clause is located — he had the audacity to tell me that the extra dollar policy on doubling up has always existed and is mentioned no where on their menu. $ 1 extra is by means not a big deal in any case; I was more offended by the fact that his tone was so rude and clipped about these supposed«facts». Well, and also trying to sell a returning customer his bullshit excuse on why this clause was not mentioned anywhere in their store, amiright? That ended my experience with this restaurant. I will not come back after the bullshit they tried to pull last night. It’s not about the money(I mean $ 1, big whoop) but it’s really how I was treated and how I was essentially conned. Food: Like mentioned above, I ended up having a 2 choice meal. Spaghetti was undercooked, chicken steak was really fatty — more fat than chicken actually, and steak was thin. The food is always just okay — nothing out of the ordinary. Value: The meals are still a good deal. Ambiance: Eh, same ol’ same ol’. That ended my experience with this restaurant. I will not come back after the play they tried to pull last night. It’s not about the money(I mean $ 1, big whoop) but it’s really how I was treated and how I was essentially almost conned.

Another HK style café in the heart of Richmond. Parking is plentiful in the nice large lot out front. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. The place is pretty bare bones, but the décor is typical of any HK café. A pile of booths, where you eat and get out. The Staff aren’t the most polite(they’re not rude though), which add to the authenticity of the experience. Efficiency is key. The value here is awesome. The fried rice I had($ 9) was literally a pile — I was able to split it into 2 meals. Nice and fresh — the guy just whips it up in a couple of minutes. Really tasty. I will definitely be back next time I need a pile of food.

Poor sign up process at the front. Obviously, they have no control on their guests’ actions on queuing but I told them I was there first and they ignored me. There are many choices in Richmond and they are now at the bottom of my list.

Just visited this sh! t place last Sunday. we had a party of 20 eating there. One of us didn’t want to order any food and the waitress was forcing him to leave or to order an item saying that there’s a minimum charge for each person. however I didn’t see it written anywhere. The waiter spilled hot sauce onto on of my friend’s pant and did not say anything. for a while I thought he pretended nothing happened until he brought her a couple of napkin then quickly left our room. obviously he did not return to us at all after. I ordered the mix and match specials. looking at the menu, realizing many items on there requires extra $. so i went ahead and ordered the lamb rack for a few bucks extra. turns out I got like two tiny pcs of lamb rack. I could’ve gotten way bigger portion else where for a lot cheaper. Will I ever go back to this place again… only if i have to burn this place to the ground, otherwise, No. Will the rest of the 19 people visit this sh! t hole? well. I guess not. at least not on my watch.

The place had a fire that shut it down for over a year. Up and running again but prices are higher and food not as good as before. Ample parking. Service pretty good. Nothing to call home about. Andy Richmond bc

Can around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon, hoping it wouldn’t be too busy. We are a party of 2 and a toddler and only waited about 10−15mins. Getting a table doesn’t seem to be the problem… Getting our food took entirely way too long. After the long wait our food arrived. Some basic fried noodles and some noodle soup. Neither were partucularily bad, but also neither stood out as memorable. All in all, there are better options out there, and considering the density of HK café’s in Richmond, this place will probably never get another chance from us.

We were a group of 13! Parked in the shopping center parking lot. We reserved a private room. Service was good throughout the evening. Although at times we did have to put empty dishes in a cart outside the room. They have a varied menu & we ordered a variety of entrees. My favorites were… the Minestrone style soup, the spicy Singapore noodles, the Curry Fish Fillet wth Vegetables(not on menu, but available @ $ 1 extra), and the iced chocolate drink(it was a hot day). An entrée not meeting with my approval was a baked spaghetti. I prefer a sauce with more taste of basil, oregano, & garlic. We will return.

We just picked HK Café that we never been and something quick for lunch. This location has been changed to different restaurant or Café for last 2 decades. Foods were awful! We ordered stir fried black pepper beef with spaghetti and it was so greasy. Baked seafood rice was soaky and no flavour, we didn’t bother to finish it.

Casual HK style café, with food at great prices and large portions. Although their menu is quite exhaustive, I usually go for their combo menu, which comes with a drink, soup, and your choice of sides(rice, spaghetti, fries, veggies). To give you an idea of the approximate cost: 1 item: ~$ 7.50 2 items: ~$ 9 3 items: ~$ 11.50 In terms of the items, you can choose from a number of meats, including rib eye steak, pork chop, chicken steak, sausage, fried fish filet, crab cakes, etc. Would definitely go back, for a quick and cheap meal!

This place really is awesome. Prices are super cheap, you can usually get a group of 4 full on $ 40 or less(if you don’t order specialty drinks). Congee here is really good, just as good as Congee Noodle House on Broadway. The atmosphere is better than most Chinese congee noodle houses and they even have cozy private rooms that you can book for bigger parties. All in all, this is as good as it gets in my opinion — decent service, good ambiance, great food for pretty darn cheap.

Great food and great prices! My family of 7 ordered 6 different plates, none of which costed over $ 10. We were surprised that it tasted that good, usually we don’t expect much. I will come here again and would recommend it to my friends.
