Initially, with all the latest road improvements in the past 6 months, I thought this would be a good thing, but now with the new T&T supermarket, as well as the plethora of new highrises in the next 2 years, it’s going to get worse. Still, it’s the most direct way to central Richmond, though depending on where, say, more south, than this is it; otherwise, even heading to Boston Pizza/Price Smart, it’s still better to drive past this bridge, to Westminster Hwy and make a left there, as well as to go Richmond Centre. Now when you get off the bridge, you’re invited to a dizzying array of options; first off, now there’s a full intersection light — no blinking type, folks, so it’s not pedestrian controlled. Now you’ve got traffic action on your left, from the River Road(mostly likely merged fr Cambie Rd). And on your right, the Richmond Oval/T&T, and straight ahead, is more traffic from Westminster, cutting through to Alderbridge to get to T&T or Copa Café… see what I mean, it’s action all right. Side note: this bridge actually links Sea Island(the airport, etc.) to actual inland Richmond, which is really Sea Island)…there’s your history lesson of the day ;)
