Food: 3⁄5 Service: 4.5÷5 Décor: 3.5÷5 Price: 4.5÷5 Food serve very quick after ordered, taste was just okay, their chinese food combo was a better option imo. Also, their iron plate selection is not too bad. Servers were friendly and experience, if you made a reservation, you will guaranteed to have a table within 2 – 3 mins, not early or late. Overall, Copa is a good restaurant. I have been there for dinners so many times already. Will definitely go again and again.

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We had to wait to be seated despite there being a lot of empty tables, but the wait wasn’t for too long. The service is decent for a Chinese place. You still have to call them, but it doesn’t take long for them to get to you. Loved the combos. My friend and I ordered sizzling plates and it came with a complimentary bun. The lobster bisque was nice and smooth. My sizzler came on an actual plate instead of a hot plate, but I think it was because I ordered steak. The meal was really good. The only downside was the mixed vegetables. Most of it was green beans, which is not one of my favourite veggies. Go for the spaghetti or fries instead. Would recommend this place to those who like/love Hong Kong cafes.

Food, service, speed was all exceptional. I’m from HK and I find the food amazing. Food: I had 羊腩煲(lamb belly bowl) and 德國豬手(German pork hand?). My direct translation is prob wrong. Both dishes are amazing. Other comments: I read some of other Unilocaler review and realize they dont know what they’re ordering. They claim they know HK food but they really don’t. Who da f eats lobster pasta at HK style café? Also it’s $ 20ish, you’re not getting $ 50 worth of lobster pasta like ones at a hotel… Also… If they’re really this bad, then why there’s so many Asian in there and three different stores around? Use logic my dear Unilocalers :)

DH& I came here on a Saturday afternoon after going to McArthur Glen Designer Outlet. We took the C94 shuttle from Brighouse station Bay 3. I ordered the chicken with vegetables(2 pcs) & fried rice noodles. Lots of noodles, there was some brown sauce on it(made my mouth dry). The chicken was tender when you bit into it but was kinda chewy upon eating it. DH ordered the Portugese-chicken rice casserole. The flavour was good but not too much chicken. Both of our drinks: HK tea + Ovaltine was flavourful. Overall, we enjoyed the spaciousness of the place. Onto my review of the ladies room. There is no main door(good for hygienic reasons). However, the stalls are very small & dim lighting. I didn’t see a wheelchair acessible bathroom. DH said there was only 2 urinals &1 stall in the men’s room. I think on our next visit, we’ll try ordering from the Main menu, not the mini-menu.

Came here with my friend for a bite to eat, well, more like he wanted to eat as I already had dinner. Anyways, came to this place, next to the Richmond Oval. As a HK style café, this place is definitely on the«ritzier» side of things, with décor that emulates a cheaper earls but with a wide menu selection, with various items such as fried rice, lobster, crab and pork chops. We were seated fairly quickly where my friend orders Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken. Came in about 10 minutes. I on the other hand, decided i would order some take out as I didn’t feel it was necessary to cook lunch for the following day. I ordered the singapore noodle with shrimp and pork. At the restaurant, the staff were fairly on the ball with paying attention to everything happening at our table. The following day I had the singapore noodles. Overall, it wasn’t the most flavourful, with a mild curry taste. The shrimp was cooked properly and not too chewy. The veggies had a nice crispness to them and the pork was tender but chewy. Again, just not overly flavourful and I felt the dish missed some heat… so I added some sriracha to it. Biggest problem is the price. At $ 13 for the dish, it’s on the more expensive side of HK style cafes. The portion size is generous(enough for 4) but still, quite expensive for what it is.

HK style cafes tend to have two styles: affordable low priced menu or fancy menu with lobster on the menu for no apparent reason. Copa sits on the latter side of the fence. I don’t know why… But when I see lobster on a HK style diner menu, it just makes me roll my eyes. Anyways… The menu price higher than your typical low end diner(lobster and lamb shoulder bumps the average menu price up). The cheaper items include stuff like the fried rice. So obviously I ordered that. I ordered the salted fish/chicken fried rice. The amount of rice is probably enough for 2 – 3 people. So that’s decent value. There was a lot of meats and vegetables. So it was OK. Nothing amazing, but it was functional. I think the place is OK. It tries to capture a certain demographic(Asian), tries to look and feel fancy but I don’t think it does any of that particular well. There are better places that do HK style diner food better. I might come back and order something else to give this a 2nd chance. But no… I will not order the lobster.

I came here for lunch with a friend of mine. Decent amount of menu items, however, nothing to write home about. In fact I didn’t even finish my meal. It didn’t taste that great. Service was a bit slow. Servings are skimpy on some dishes. Customer service outside the slow service was good.

It’s hard to say which one is worse, the service or the food Perhaps the food is slightly better than the service overall; Maybe because the service was so horrible that the food was influenced as well The waiter had a poker face the minute we walked in… when I asked if its possible that we would like to sit in the sofa area instead of the plastic chair section in the middle, he wasn’t too happy and brought us to the other side of the room… With anther set of plastic chairs and table… It was super empty that only two people were sitting in the sofa area against the wall… He rushed to put down the menus and didn’t look at us at all… We didn’t want to ask him to move again so we sat down. The food took forever, they even forgot my chicken wings. Laksa tasted quite bad, it wasn’t flavorful enough; more like a bowl of overcooked soft mushy rice noodle with some watery soup that’s lack of salt and sauce. Oh yeah, there was no service while we ate. I asked for chili sauce and the waitress looked confused as if I was asking for an alien… And very unhappily brought me the two sauces… I mean I am only asking because the food was super blunt, it was hard to swallow and she made it seem like I’m asking for more sauce since it’s not being charged !? The only decent tasting thing was the jar of daily soup. I will probably not go back, food from T&T next door tastes better for a quick lunch, plus they have tables to eat and probably with better service!

After being here a few more times I have to downgrade just because I’ve decided that I’d rather walk to the plaza with Alleluia, Enjoy 1+1& Kingspark than go to this place for its convenience. The food is still fine– but I just feel overpriced.

Geez I almost hate it when my star rating matches what everyone else says! I want to be a little different, but I have to agree with the consensus this time and give Copa Richmond a 3 star rating. 2 friends and I ended up meeting at Copa Richmond for dinner one Saturday night. I ordered the 6 oz New York steak meal. In the meal one gets a cold drink, lobster bisque soup, butter and a bun, and your steak and veggies(and sauce to go with your steak — I got mushroom sauce). Pretty good for $ 20! The food quality was average… The lobster in the lobster bisque certainly did not taste like real lobster. The New York steak was paper thin. The veggies tasteless and boiled to excess. Overall, not great! I guess what can you really expect for $ 20! Service was fast and efficient. The restaurant is new and the décor and atmosphere is in the upper end of the scale. Everything is clean and new. Given the food quality I don’t know if I would come back… I probably won’t come back.

It’s located right next to T&T and right across the Richmond Oval. Access to the parking facility is provided via an alley next to the building. I must say it’s a little overpriced for a HK style café. Most dishes were around $ 15. But service was good and fast. They didn’t separate the lamb slices properly prior to throwing it in the pan. So when we separated the pieces they were undercooked inside(see pics). We weren’t too impressed… They also didn’t give change back for our bill. While the amount we gave them was pretty close after tip we still expected change. They just assumed it was ‘okay’. Probably won’t be returning for a while.

The service was really good. First time ordering was Togo. The guy who picked up the phone was really nice and patient even though the phone cut off I called back and he still had my order handy. The soup Lor song tong oxtail soup was good. The baked Portuguese chicken rice was not that good.. but my fiancé order pork chops on rice and a fried rice which he really enjoyed ! Really nice décor looked really clean which is a plus. Very welcoming, nice owners to do business with

Went here for dinner with my family for my birthday and the food was not too bad for a Hong Kong style café. It was very busy and loud having but we were lucky to get a seat despite not having a reservation. The ambience and décor is pretty classy with really nice booth seating on the sides. I ordered the sizzler special with the choice of 3 Category B meats for $ 18.95, with rice and mushroom sauce and bubble tea. It was a big serving, to be honest, and it came in pretty fast. Staff were friendly but their English can be challenging at times. Overall the experience was not too bad at all. Will try to come here again next time.

Came here after a game at the oval with some teammates. As someone who has been to enough HK restaurants, this was the worst. My friends said they liked the other Copa chains and that usually they have good prices after 9pm. We came at 8 so it was really expensive for the amount of food you get. My friend and I split a baked chicken pasta and paid $ 13.50 where you can get that 3 mins away for $ 8.50 at Kingspark. They were also stingy and had problems with one of us wanting to pay debit. I get it, you guys prefer cash but debit is essentially the same so if you accept them then don’t give us crap for wanting to use it. Service was horrible, the baked pasta was the worst I’ve had across HK cafés. It was so watery and not enough sauce. Personally I would never come here again on a regular basis. I may give it a second shot after 9pm for when the prices are lower. Other than that, I was extremely disappointed at the food quality and service. It did not even live up to a Chinese service standard(which is really close to none most of the time but I understand and am okay with it).

Had been waiting for this place to open for a long time – extra star for putting a HK style café in the middle of nowhere, plus it is indeed, a lot nicer locale than its Cambie sister. Even by itself, the décor is even a bit classy, with a huge flower centerpiece. but i digress. Ok it’s not really nowhere, as the area is majorly developing, A few more condos, in addition to the luxury River Green project. and of course, the Richmond Oval and new T&T beside it. Pretty good value: the flat noodles beef/sprouts passed the test, albeit a bit greasier than normal. It’s a lot larger so more staff, and helpful. Nice booth seating on the left wall side. Convenient, covered parking by T&T.

Décor(7⁄10) I was pleasently surprised by how grand the space looked. I love the big comfy seats by the wall. It was quite spacious and I felt very comfortable eating ehre. Service(5⁄10) The service wasn’t horrible but most HK cafes won’t have much service. I do want to say I am happy they took out the msg in my food. Food(5⁄10) Food was okay. I ordered mushroom friend noodle and fired rice. Very basic. nothing special.

White girl in a Hong Kong style café. I would say not bad. The western food done Chinese style was not good. I get where the Chinese food done western style is a slap in the face. Not going to lie; bring on the neon orange sweet and sour pork anytime for me. Went with a group from work. Service was friendly. Food came out when it was ready. It was a cheap lunch and huge plates! I will go again and next time be a bit more adventurous. My Asian dining companions had a good time picking on my whiteness.

Grand opening recently. Super busy! So make sure you reserve a table to avoid the line up. Food quality is not bad. The only bad dish we ordered was the pork/cha siu on stone bowl. The meat was dried up so badly, I can hardly take a bite. Overall is good as the food come really fast. And service is not bad. $ 10/year for a membership card. Each time you are entitle to 5% discount! Worth to try and the $ 10 you paid goes towards your future bills.

#1 Chicken Steak Bun in Portuguese style 2.5÷5 — The menu says it can be chicken steak, pork chop, or filet in a bun. When I asked the server, he said the pork chop and the filet will be deep fried. That was why I had to stick with the chicken. Portuguese style is not suppose to be deep fried. Anyways, the«chicken steak» was a chicken thigh with skin. It was only big enough for ½ of my bun. The bun was like 2-day old and it was very dry. It also came with a slice of tomato and 2 pieces of lettuce, and fries. If I would to order this again, I would +$ 0.25 for caesar salad instead. We waited ½ hour for a table and I knew the wait is going to be longer after T&T opens tomorrow. This means it will get even harder for parking. Our drinks were wrong and they charged us for iced drinks on the bill. I would rather go to Save & Smart Café with friendly service and decent food.

This Hong Kong style restaurant just opened it’s newest location in Richmond on September 15th. This is the best ambiance of all their 4 locations. The place is loud and the staff is friendly though English can be challenging at times. The food is decent, they have their standard Chinese dishes and North American dishes with a HK style twist.
