My favourite chocolate café is moving to Annacis Island. Gotta get in a few extra chocxo shots this month(July) before they go. Luv their dark chocolate mochas.

I read Vincci’s review and the words«designer chocolates» hit the right note with me. Of course being in Richmond it took me a while to get here, however, here none the less. I had this book marked since March 24th. The place is all the way in Steveston, therefore, getting out here took a while. First thing that you do notice is how pretty the chocolates look, almost too good looking to eat. Lots of flavors, nicely boxed, imaginative flavors, especially the citrus based ones. Prices are high for what they are but this is a sometimes treat. Great ambiance and good drinks.

I’ve been here twice and yes the drinks they served are a great unique taste since they use real chocolate in them! Yum The place is a good size and has a warm cool look and you also get to look through a glass to see how the chocolate is being made. They also offer complimentary chocolate shots, but when we tried to get some, the chocolate was not coming out. The first time we went there the guy had to shove a stick in the tube because the chocolate gets hard and clogs the tube. So we had to ask for help, since we wanted to try it. A couple of months later they still have this problem, they need to put a sign up and provide some sticks to unclog it. The service we got was not the greatest, I’ve gotten better service at Tim Hortons. I felt like the batista did not like me for some reason. I’ve walked in and said hello and he didn’t even smile back but said hello back. He was working with another customer and after he was done he gave him a sample. When he got to me and my gf, we ordered but he misheard me so I corrected him. We got a dark chocolate frappé and a salted chocolate frappé. We paid and waited for the drinks. I was expecting him to offer us a sample so we waited in front for a little bit but he just went stright to cleaning after we got our drinks. We looked around at all the different types of chocolate and different designs, then we sat down. Some moments pass by and another customer came in and was browsing around for a bit, then she ordered and right after he gave her a sample after he gave her drink. I was not happy at all. This review is for the whole restaurant experience, the cold drinks were not bad but they were not as great as the hot drinks. The hot chocolate and mocha is their special so I recommend it.

ChocXO is so close to work I could technically come here everyday. Technically. On a Friday afternoon I decided to check this spot out. It’s within all the office buildings, and there’s free parking right outside. The space is quite big and cozy. There’s tables and comfortable lounging couches. Upon entry, you will see a case of all their designer chocolates, with the different flavours. The patterns and colours on the chocolates looks too pretty to eat. There’s a good variety of milk and dark chocolate selection. I got a cinnamon bun, a salted caramel and a lime coconut chocolate. As well, they serve coffee and hot chocolate. I couldn’t decide, so I got myself a white hot chocolate. It was delicious, not overly sweet, and I could taste both the coffee and chocolate flavour. The mocha made my Friday afternoon at work even better. I will definitely be back!

They should have a rehab center on site to deal with your addiction… I mean, how many places have a chocolate fountain in the wall that allow you to sample and taste pure chocolate from a tap!?! There’s a new selection of chocolates on a weekly basis… From sea salt to caramel, to ginger and cayenne, Chocxo will keep you on your toes when it comes to designer chocolates! Their espresso and coffee bar is a fantastic compliment to their remarkable quality, and be sure to keep your eyes open for surprises!

Ok this place is great. So what do you think. Bean to bar chocolate and fresh roasted coffee. Great combo. Beverages so high in quality and flavour it’s hard to believe. I mean hot chocolate and moccas made with real chocolate. Come on. Pinch me.
