Good food, good beer, friendly service and a nice atmosphere if it’s not too busy. A bit modern but it does have an authentic Irish pub feel. Some of the food is hit and miss but the mini Yorkies are excellent as well as Chili Lime Chicken tacos and Belfast Burger. Others swear by the Spicy Crispy Chicken sandwich, Thai Chicken Flatbread or fish and chips.

Nice pub to watch a game and have a beer. Good pub food and wide selection of beer. The servers are friendly and attentive. My only suggestion, throw up a few games up on the TV’s. I know we are in Vancouver but how about some love for the other hockey fans and games?

Ceili’s is in my neighborhood and I would visit often if a few improvements were made. 1) The bartenders seem to have poor attitudes. No eye contact, no smiling, and no interaction. 2) Food quality. Although their menu offers multiple choices, the flavours are slightly bland and nothing really special. 3) Serving it Right ‘policies.’ After ordering ONE mixed drink(2 ounces of Bailey’s and one ounce of whiskey) and one Corona, my husband was told he could not be served any more alcohol when he attempted to order a Corona with his food… After all is said and done, there are too many pubs, bars, and restaurants that offer stellar service and tasty food for me to return to Ceili’s on a regular basis. I’m sure I will break down in the future and eat here due to laziness Haha.

If I had a last wish, it wouldn’t be this, however if I had two, it would be my second… The service is awesome and the Yorkies are to die for… I really want to die, but I would for these. Every time I come to Vancouver I arrange my hotel location just to be next to this bar… I don’t recommend the hotel attached to this place, but there is a nice one next door. The staff is a lot of fun and very knowledgable about the beer… I will go back again and again!!!

We had a great time! Very friendly environment and staff! Yay Kyla! :-) We both had flatbread pizzas; the Prosciutto(Prosciutto, tomato sauce, wild mushrooms, white cheddar, arugula, sunny side up egg 12.95) and the Wild Mushroom(Wild mushrooms, caramelized onion, goat and havarti cheese, pesto, arugula 12.95). Both were excellent and just the right size. We also both wanted craft beer and didn’t want to have anything we could readily get in the States. So my husband had the Red Truck IPA and I had the Granville Island English Bay Pale Ale. The GI was more amber than I expected but delicious. A younger, less responsible version of me would have many of them and often, but I restrained myself to a single pint. Definitely a great stop. We recommend it.

Nice staff. Pleasant place. Better than most in Richmond. Pros? –big wine glasses –unobtrusive service –attentive staff Cons? –close early –sweet potato fries were mushy

Was at hospital waiting and canucks were playing so jumped over for a beer and wings. Cozy place, good food and great service from the bartender. If I lived in the area I would come here to watch all the games.

Came by for some drinks after finding out that the Flying Beaver close by closes 0100. This place closes 0200 on weekends. Parking is quite horrendous in this area. It’s quite hit and miss. The pub is very loud on the weekend, with many drunken revellers getting down on the dance floor The DJ is quite good, with plenty of 1990s songs being played. Blast from the past. The place does get quite packed at night, so be sure to keep one’s elbows out. Staff are quite friendly and quick. Beers aren’t the cheapest at $ 7 or so a glass.

Came over for lunch today and enjoyed the yorkshire appies, filled with very little meat and gravy dip. Not a light snack and next time I need to come after work to enjoy this appy with beer ;). However we did top the meal off with the Guinness chocolate brownie. Honestly I couldn’t taste any Guinness which is what drew me to the dessert but the brownie and vanilla ice cream was still quite tasty…

Went to this place just kinda craving for WINGS! I believe it was about 6:00pm on a Sat. night. Not that busy considering hockey was on that night. The waitresses are all very friendly and prompt, which are quite nice, since most of the time waitresses don’t give a sh*t when you are ordering TAKE-OUTS. Because of this, I tipped them 10% still even thou it’s a take-out order. The wings itself is kinda bland, for the salt and pepper. The honey-garlic wings taste much better with all the sauce covering it, but I can still tell that the wings are not marinated. I shouldn’t base the review on one single item, but I just really want to praise the services I got while I was there for such a short period of time.

Oh Ceilis, what a fun night we had celebrating hubby’s birthday. The reservations didn’t quite work out, but we preferred the patio anyway.(FYI, you can be on the patio until 11pm). The bouncer at the door was very helpful and polite. It was our first time here on a Saturday night and their special is $ 7.50 double highballs and their usual appy hour after 9pm to pad your tummy. They have a DJ that spins some pretty good tunes, although I have to admit, it was a bit more pop than I anticipated(i expected more rock than whitney houston) but it was all good. Some 90s throwback. The dance floor is quite teeny but that shouldn’t deter you from getting down with your hunny. People in the bar were decent and very drama-free. Separate billing was easy peasy and your waitresses are as sweet as pie. We blame you for the horrific next morning we had, but with that, we also give you kudos for the great night we had. Thanks for the great time

Came here with my girlfriend and her family. The service was great and they had the best spicy chicken sandwich of my life!!! So crispy and juicy and not oily. If I do come back to Vancouver this will be the first spot I go to.

Pretty large location. Decent drink selection. Waited a bit for food and drinks, we thought our waitress forgot about us in the corner. She was very friendly and helped us with the menu and food restrictions. The food was all delicious. Especially the mac and cheese. I tried some of my friends and would come back just for that. Tomato bisque was also good and came in a huge portion. I ordered the chicken taco appetizer and it was enough for a light meal. Had a little heat to it but the goat cheese was an excellent addition to keep things balanced.

Pub style food. Reasonable prices. On the corner of the building I was staying, for one night, prior to an Alaska cruise. Staff was certainly friendly only very SLOW! Food was as expected, pub fare. Nothing special. There are probably better places around but we wanted a quick dinner that was close by, for a party of eight. This venue satisfied our need.

4 Stars for the service, bartender Amanda very helpful with charging my phone with the outlet behind the bar, same for the manager who walked me thru the wifi, yes, that’s another star. But the nachos? maybe an off-day since I had heard they were delish, but the cheese wasn’t even spread throughout; but kudos for the amt of the added grilled chicken, & big portions of the sour cream, salsa & extra charge for guacamole, as to be expected. typical irish pub, different, more mature crowd than their DT one, with the yuppies and all. Good atmosphere, lots of big tables. Paid parking on Rmd’s streets but free after 9pm.

Background: Went on a very, very busy night(first Canucks game after a super extended lock out) in January 2013. It was a Saturday night, at that. It was surprisingly busy for a Richmond pub, and one that’s not very easy to find either(if you’re not from there, what are the chances you’d just walk into this pub?). I was concerned that I wouldn’t get a table, since well, NOONE was approaching us or even acknowledging our presence to begin with, and I saw at least 2 of their employees walk by us. We were standing at the door for about 5 minutes, until I approached one of their kilted ladies and asked her to check if there are available seats. She said«probably not», but I asked her to look. She found one at the back of the restaurant. Sweet! Ambience: Pub-like, of course. The crowd was full of people in their 20s(and the occasional folks who are 50+) in their Canucks swag. Mostly groups of four and up, but there were certainly tables of twosomes. Food: I had the Ceilis classic burger, which was beefed up with meat. The bun was glazed with some spicy sauce, and it was a sizable burger. Very average though. Fries however, was below average. It was served cold already, so imagine picking at it for 30 minutes. Winter fries, much? They have a wide selection of beer, and I went on a special night where Sleeman Honey Browns were $ 5.50. They look like they have specials every night: typical of a pub. Value: Food was about $ 15 on average, and drinks were depending on what you got. So expect to spend at least $ 20 on yourself. The portion was average, yet again so don’t expect anything spectacular. Verdict: Poor to mediocre service, cold fries, BUT good vibes. It’s comforting to know that I don’t have to go all the way to DT Vancouver to have a «pub-feel» and I’m not the only one chanting«Go Canucks Go». I’d go again on another hockey night :) Note: Parking is street parking. $ 2 for 48 minutes, until 9 p.m.

Nice to sit on out the patio on a sunny afternoon. Today we decided to take it easy and just have a beer and some late lunch/early dinner. The selection of beers was pretty good and reasonably priced. I am usually careful with Pub Food as there are many items on the menu that I would not really associate with it. So I went for Shepherds Pie which you may call a traditional choice for ordering at an irish pub. It was a good choice indeed. Great taste and well sized portion. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall I am very satisfied with the visit. Largely because I was able to sit outside. During a rainy day or late evening I would maybe not come and sit in the smelly interior but that is more of a personal preference as it is a typical pub smell. Cheers S
