Aerocar Service

All you could ask for. We walked outside the Air Canada terminal and saw a car and driver there. We were on our way to our hotel within minutes. The driver gave me a card and I made reservations back to the airport. The return driver showed up 15 minutes early and as we were checking out of the hotel the driver greeted us.
Very Professional. I’l use them again.

We booked it online, we paid for the Vancouver airport — Downtown for $ 53 (sedan car).
When we arrived at the Vancouver airport, he was already waiting for us outside the hotel. They have their own booth so very easy to spot them.
The driver was very friendly and answered all our questions about the city.
We used them again a few days later to go to the airport. The driver came to our hotel 30 minutes earlier. We wasn’t ready but he waited for us patiently outside the hotel. No attitude at all~

BEWARE of the hidden charges! I’m giving 3 stars only because the driver got us to the airport in a jiffy. Customer service was LOUSY, probably because the driver figured he’d never see these tourists again.
I booked this thru my hotel, and asked to be picked up at 10 am for a 1:00 flight back to the US.
The positive part of this review was the driver was on time. At 10:00 the driver walked into the lobby and told my friend that «he’s here» and walked back outside and sat in the car. He never offered to load the limo nor did he tell us that there’s a ONE DOLLAR PER MINUTE WAITING FEE. If he did tell us, my friends didn’t mention it.
So 10 minutes went by and I finally told the driver that we shold start loading up. I casually mentioned the hotel said our rate would be $ 60 for the ride, which he replied, No, its now $ 70 because there’s a dollar a minute fee for waiting.
WHAT THE HELL? Why didn’t he say this while he was sitting in the curb?
Like a mad lady I yelled at my friends to hurry up and lets go.
The ride to YVR was QUIET. He didn’t chat with us, but did use his phone to chat with someone. I guess we were too noisy talking amongst ourselves, he rolled up the chauffer partitian so we wouldn’t bother him.
The air in the car was warm, and I asked him to turn on the AC. He said we had the controls, and didn’t even offer hints on how to cool the back down. We had the windows down, and it was raining! Eventually we figured out you had to turn the AC all the way up to cool down the car.
So, here’s the kicker. At the airport, I asked him to give me a receipt. He goes «How much was the ride?» and I said «Well it was SUPPOSED to be $ 60 but you dinged me 10 minutes for waiting, so I guess its now $ 70.
As if he was doing me a favor, he said «To be nice, I’ll take away the $ 10 wait fee.» and handed me a handwritten card with $ 60 as the fee.
Originally I had $ 80 to give the driver a $ 20 tip, but when he upped my fee to $ 70, I was still going to give him $ 80, giving him less tip. Since he lowered the price, he was shocked at the $ 20 tip. He goes «Are you sure?» and I said «keep the change.».
I’m wondering if he had jerked me off the $ 1 a minute, hoping to pocket the «waiting» fee. In the end, he still made out ahead…
If I get this company again, I will ask for their «wait» policy. Things like this should be disclosed to me, by the driver or the hotel.
Also a traveling tip I’ve learned is ALWAYS ask for a receipt. Even if you don’t need it, it’ll keep the driver honest, as you can see, I don’t think the driver «found it in his heart» to discount me back my $ 10.

If you value your life, don’t use Aerocar.
I have encountered many Aerocars in my commute. One might wonder why such an obscure detail would linger my mind. Well, it seems every time I see an Aerocar, it is either speeding by me, tailgating me, cutting in front of me, or weaving in and out of busy traffic.
I certainly hope there are no passengers in those cars because I would not wish such life-​endangering car rides on anyone, let alone paying customers.
Perhaps the drivers are driving aggressively to and from the airport to make their appointments, which does not reflect well on their scheduling.
In any case, if you are going to charge twice as much as a regular cab and distinguish yourself as a premium service, don’t drive like a cab!

So we booked with Aerocar again and the service was great! We got to the concert quickly and early, and he dropped us right at our gate! Later when it was time for the pick up, the driver was close by and we spotted him right away. The drivers have always been nice and polite. Definitely my favorite limo company!

HighEnd Limousine, doing business as Aerocar, are a relatively new provider to and from Vancouver (YVR) Intl Airport. They also offer other transportation solutions within the city, however my review is directed towards the Aerocar service.
I have been using it as a test trial going to and from YVR, both late departures/​arrivals. Compared to a taxi which usually runs 28 $ from Yaletown to the Airport, their rate of 43 $ plus Tax is not too terrible, in the end however you still pay double than the cab fare.
Do I need a fancy schmenzy ride for 25 minutes? Probably not. But do I want to take the Toyata Prius aka Car aka Taxi apart to fit myself and my Rimowa XL luggage in there? Definitely not! Despite I can’t stand it when people who drive are talking on the phone or listen to loud, exotic music. Both of which cabs are notorious for. (Eek!) So I usually rather take the Canada Line or in this case (as it was a leisure trip) Aerocar.
The service was very reliable, the Sedan arrived ~5 Minutes early and the driver was very friendly, We reached the Airport in a breeze with a good feeling of comfort and in happy expectation of the trip. On the return the car was ready, warm and with the same friendly service. Satisfied!
If you don’t mind spending a few $ extra then this service is absolutely for you.

From the time I called late at night to reserve my early morning car, I knew I would become a fan. The woman who took my reservation was talkative, kind and sympathetic to my early bird time. My car was waiting in the right spot (not like most taxis) and a real person (the driver) phoned me when I was a minute late. He helped me with my bag and insisted on opening and closing the door for me. Yes! Chivalry lives in a few little spaces…
Sure, he was a bit more talkative than I could handle at the crack of dawn and it was pricier than a cab, ($ 43 + tax to the airport), but being on time and jovial at 5:30 am makes this worth the splurge.

* New name, new company, almost the exact same service! *
Old reliable LimoJet (
) lost the contract at YVR and raised its prices by almost doubling them for a transfer to the airport. So I was searching around and found out HighEnd took over the contract.
I wasn’t impressed when calling for a reservations, as apparently their dispatch system just isn’t working well yet (being the new exclusive YVR provider I guess overwhelmed them).
But the car turned up a bit early as LimoJet always did, and got me to the airport in the same comfortable way.
Speaking with the driver it sounds like most of the old LimoJet drivers have switched over to the new company as well. So it was a pretty seamless and painless transfer for me as a customer too.
So there is a new $ 39 provider from downtown to the airport. Considering a taxi normally runs someplace between $ 25-​$ 32 depending on traffic, this is a great deal:
— They are on time, instead of the potentially missed taxi connection if the taxi doesn’t feel like showing up on a busy day, or just ignores a pre-​booking, or has a 30 minute hold to connect on the phone.
— The car is a nice and comfortable sedan, instead of a ratty taxi.
The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for now is the booking just isn’t as efficient. So far it doesn’t seem possible to book on their website like you could with LimoJet, and dispatch on the phone was a bit confused. I hope they work out these bugs soon, as they are now the primary game in town!
