Got my shellac manicure groupon with optional design done today. The staff was so unprofessional, they were talking to each other and eating Mcd fries in front of the customers. My right middle finger nails was not done properly. Overall I’m happy with the outcome of my nails as this is just my first time trying this place out. My nail technician gave my a hand massage which is a bonus.

Bought my Groupon for a shellac manicure with design — no problem. The lady who took my appointment was not too happy to be doing my nails at 7pm because «they want to close and go home». But she made the appointment for me anyway.
The location was decently clean and bright.
But communication is a major issue. None of the ladies speak clearly or speak much English. It made describing what I wanted very difficult.
The shellac manicure I got was OK. I had wanted a red French tip with a white heart but couldn’t find a picture to show as they didn’t understand my description alone. So I settled for a white French tip with one red nail and a small heart on each thumb. They weren’t too happy about doing a French tip & «design» to begin with. The lady kept telling me my nails were too short — I’ve never been told that. The French tips weren’t straight and precise as they should have been. The lady couldn’t draw a heart so she offered me a sticker to put on instead. But only 2, anymore and I’d have to pay extra. Furthermore, when the sticker was put on, it wasn’t flat. So after a couple days of getting caught on things it ripped off leaving a heart shaped dent in the shellac. It wasn’t the best looking sticker to begin with but they were pushing me along to finish and get out.
Overall, I’m glad I didn’t pay more than the Groupon price. Certaintly not worth anymore than $ 20. Of all the salons I’ve been to for shellac or gel manicures, this is the first time I’ve had such a difficult time getting the design I wanted. Maybe if you’re looking for a cheap, straightforward shellac or gel manicure, the place isn’t so bad. But I won’t be going back.

Don’t expect too much from this place. You get what you pay for.
To begin, I really don’t know how I feel about this nail spa. I got a Groupon for Bio Gel with design. I was here a month ago for the first time and I don’t think I’m going back.
Communication is a major issue with this nail spa… most of the staff don’t speak very good English (I had a hard time making an appointment and getting directions from them). While I was getting my manicure done, I witnessed a huge cat fight between the owner and the customer at the store… for 30 min I was so stressed out at how poorly the situation was being handled. A customer came in and said she’d like to do a regular manicure and pedicure with her expired coupon. A lady with broken English said she can’t offer her the Groupon regardless if it’s expired or not because she didn’t make an appointment well in advance. The customer was like «why does it matter, I’m not asking you to provide me the service that I purchased from Groupon, I am asking you to simply offer me the value I purchased with a regular manicure/​pedicure service, I will pay the difference.» The lady kept saying «No, you have to make an appointment». Customer A was like «Your girls are just sitting here doing nothing, why can’t I get my manicure done? You are wasting our time arguing with me!» The lady and the customer got so angry and they started yelling and pointing fingers at each other… At one point the lady said she’s going to call the cops on the customer. At that time I was really upset so I told the customer to just file a complaint with Groupon.
For the actual manicure experience, it was just so-​so, the technician was cool but she shaved off a bit of my cuticle and my thumb was bleeding… the 3D design came off after a few days which made my nails look quite ugly… The gel started peeling and cracking after a week…
Conclusions:
Pros: very inexpensive (Shellac for $ 20, BioGel $ 40, Gel removal $ 5), 1 free service after 10 visits at the store.
Cons: unprofessional customer service, staff were yapping away in their own language, hard to communicate with the staff, manicure is just so-​so.

4.5/5~ This is my second time here today and I’m loving this place! I was here 5 weeks ago and got shellac nails for the first time ever and now I’m addicted. The prices are super affordable and much cheaper than other salons. For a solid color shellac mani it’s only $ 15. Shellac with some design could range from $ 15-​$ 30. Mani/​pedi is $ 30. For gel I’m not too sure.
The first time I was here I had the nail technician named Fiona. She was nice and took her time with my manicure (shaping/​filing/​cuticles). I chose to do a shellac with a design and it only costed $ 23! When she told me the price I honestly couldn’t believe it and had to confirm with her again. My nails turned out super nice and pretty and they lasted 5 WEEKS! Keep in mind that the design I got was kind of like a french so when my nails grew out you could barely tell. When they got too long I just cut and filed them and they were still looking awesome.
Today, I came back and booked with Fiona again. To remove my old shellac, she first buffed some out, placed a cotton ball dipped in acetone on each finger and wrapped it with aluminum foil. After 5 minutes or so she took them off and removed the rest with some metal scraper thing and a buffer. I am SO glad she didn’t use that electrical buffer. I got shellac with a different design today and costed only $ 25! I had saved some sample pictures on my phone so I can show it to her. My nails ended up turning out even nicer than the picture!
The only reason why I didn’t give this place a full 5 stars is because the nail technicians don’t make much of an effort to chat with their clients. They are all Mandarin speaking so their English is not the best, but they should at least try. Other than that, they are all nice ladies.
I can say for sure that this is my go-​to nail salon! Really can’t beat the pricing here and they do an awesome job! Make sure to call to book an appointment because they get pretty busy.

Purchased this Groupon they speak of being so good for 45 $ Was for so it said «one shellac manicure and pedicure with paraffin hand and feet treatment».When I called to book the appointment, I let them know it was a Groupon. I get there for my appointment about 5mins late thinking they would be ready for me. They weren’t that was fine I take awhile to choose my polish I’m indecisive. A lady starts to do my pedicure normal polish not shellac ok whatever. I get no Paraffin feet treatment… The design on my toes I could have done better myself. The designs on my fingers are just stickers when it comes to the end. I’m all finished now they try to charge me tax for my manicure then for a full pedicure. I say no that was in the groupon I don’t even care… I didn’t get the treatment in my hands and feet I said that. Go to walk out an excuse me excuse me you still have to pay 6 $ tax had only brought 10 $ in cash I gave her the ten asked for 4 $ back. Was going to give her a 5 $ tip but, after that I threw a toonie in the table and walked out. Will not be back here again and the whole time spoke in their language personally hate that. I do nails myself from home I have all the shellac the dryer. So I’m very picky and they did do an okay job with the painting of shellac it’s just more the owner. Putting out a groupon an not honoring it as well.

Went in for a pedicure with a booked appointment. In short, the manager and staff weren’t as professional as other places, but the pedicure was satisfactory and cheap — $ 20. The lady doing my pedicure didn’t do a great job shaping my nails, didn’t ask me for feedback and didn’t respond well when I gave input and the polish application was mediocre. However, I left with a decent pedicure for the price I paid. Wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t care about the experience and only want the service. I’d rather pay an extra $ 10 for an overall more pleasant experience.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My friend and I made an appointment to do our nails together before my trip and we had checked with them to make sure that the day we wanted was available and that we could do it at the same time before we bought the Groupon. They said we could and so we bought the Groupon, made the appointment and then showed up on that day. They had no record of the appointment and said we couldn’t do it at the same time. Ridiculous. Disorganized. Unprofessional. They were also all upset saying we never called and made an appointment and they would have told us we couldn’t do it at the same time if we had called… but we had and they had confirmed. My friend and I ended up leaving because they were getting upset at us for their mistake. By the way, I’ve done many spa Groupons before and I’ve never had an experience like this.

Got a Groupon for $ 45 shellac Mani and pedi with nail design and paraffin treatment. Best idea ever! This place is very professional and clean. They know what they’re doing!
Pedicure spa is amazing. Hot soapy water, attentive nail cutting, scrub and lotion massage = super relaxing! And youre sitting on a massage chair that gives you a nice rub. Nails were done well and you get a design on one toe.
Manicure was on point! I love the colour! They give you a design on one finger per hand. They’re stickers so you can choose what you want. And a nice massage at the end of it!
Paraffin treatment was insane! I’ve never done it before and man does it leave your feet and hands feeling extra smooth.
If you want a Mani and pedi its $ 45 regular so definitely come check it out! Best service ever!!! I had Annie and she was meticulous!

I have had many shellac manicures & pedicures over the years and know the difference between a good nail tech who does a proper job from someone who rushes & does the very basics.
I purchased two Groupon vouchers for V-​Fashion Nails (two shellac manicures and one shellac pedicure) and had the same nail tech both times (an older Asian woman who is the owner). I was disappointed with both visits and will not return to this nail spa again for two reasons. The first is the sub-​average service that I received and the second is the lack of cleanliness. During both appointments I did not receive a full manicure (no time was taken to trim my cuticles or shape my nails nicely) and was alarmed at how dirty the tools and UV hand light stations were. Instead of receiving a full manicure that was included in the deal I was given a shellac color change.
The shellac pedicure was similar with little effort to remove the rough skin from my feet. The nail tech did a quick scrub with the pedi paddle and nothing more. My feet were still rough when I left and I had to finish the job myself at home — very disappointing.
The shellac application was okay and lasted a decent amount of time for both the mani & pedi. I had designs with tiny rhinestones added to two fingers on both visits and they were average.
Tip: Go into the spa to book your appt and pick one of the younger nail techs — both girls do a much better job than the owner and take their time with your nails.

This is my regular «go to» nail salon in Richmond Hill where I find myself satisfied and comfortable with the service and the nails they provide, always. My favourite nail technician, Anna, does the best for me because she knows my nails very well.
I work in an environment that requires a lot of hands on job, therefore Anna knows she would have to thicken up the volume of bio-​gel into my nails. $ 40 for regular bio-​gel and it is always recommended compared to shellac ($ 15) and polish ($ 15) because gel keeps your nails strong and it last longer. Additional design might cost extra.
