Besides Ruelo and a couple other eateries, I really have no interest in this mall. There’s not a lot of interesting stores, nor is it a fun place to «hang» with friends. Parking is atrocious because there’s not a lot of parking spaces. Not to mention, Highway 7 is definitely not a great street to go on. It’s basically like the Dundas street of Markham. There’s ALWAYS traffic and it feels like it takes an hour to get from Warden to Leslie. Times Square is a big gray building that literally says«Times Square» on it. It’s hard to miss and if you are coming from the East Side, it will be on your right.

Ok, maybe this place was the cat’s meow in its heyday, but now it’s kind of a boring place. Times Square Mall reminds me a little of Dragon City or China Mall in Toronto’s Chinatown, well at least the main«indoor mall» part of the mall. I guess Times Square Mall includes all the shops that are outside in the«plaza» part as well. For food I suppose it’s still pretty good as there is a lot of selection. There’s a restaurant in the main building(Richmond Court Restaurant) and other restaurants, cafés, bakeries, etc. in the plaza part. However, for actual shopping I think it’s a flop. There’s a cosmetics store(Sophie) that’s cluttered and the high prices are not congruent with the look of the store. There are a few clothing stores that aren’t really my style, some jewellery stores and service based stores(i.e. hair salon, cell phone kiosks, etc.). So I came here to check it out seeing as how it’s the biggest Asian Mall in Richmond Hill and it was across the street from the hotel I was staying at. It started to rain(and not just a few drops, I mean it was pouring buckets) while I was there and I didn’t want to get wet running across the street back to my hotel. So let’s just say that I am a shopper extraordinaire, but instead of shopping I just sat on one of the benches and played on my phone until the rain subsided. For someone who loves to shop, this is very telling. If you are staying at one of the hotels nearby or if you live around here, you may want to check it out to say that you did, but I wouldn’t make a special trip to shop at this mall.

Times Square Mall is located at the intersection of Leslie and Hwy 7. This is still the biggest Asian Mall in the Richmond Hill area. You will find all kinds of restaurants: Dim Sum, Vietnamese, HK style Café, Chinese and Western desserts(RUELO!!), Northern Chinese restaurants and many more! There are also stores that sells cosmetics, jewellery, optical stores. There are also spa services, hair salons, travel agencies. If you are here looking for bootlegged DVDs, you will be disappointed! The ground level parking lot can be a zoo during lunch hours and the weekends. But you will find plenty of underground parkings. Their underground parkings are spacious, clean and well-lited! BTW, you can also get Free WIFI access in the Mall area. OK I love this Mall! I go there every week!
