The Music Guru is not your typical music school as we do not operate out of a storefront location. Instead, we offer both comfort and convenience to our students by providing music lessons in the home. At The Music Guru, we understand that your time is both valuable and limited, and we don’t want you to have to spend any extra time travelling to your music lessons. We are aware that offering lessons in your home may seem a bit unconventional, however, we want our students to be as comfortable as possible. It is our belief that students feel more relaxed when in a familiar setting, and as a result, they will have an easier time learning and expressing themselves musically. Business Owner

Corey began playing guitar at the age of 12 and has only seen his passion to learn, teach, and perform grow stronger ever since. After having graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music from York University where he majored in the study of jazz guitar, Corey realized that he was truly passionate about growing the art of music. Upon later graduating from George Brown College with a certificate in Small Business Entrepreneurship, Corey decided it was time to open The Music Guru. Corey believes that anyone is capable of learning how to play an instrument; however, in order for the student to truly grow as a musician, it is essential for him/​her to develop a strong background in theory, in conjunction with a comprehensive understanding of the instrument. His goal is to make the learning experience enjoyable, while at the same time, introducing some of these essential musical concepts through the use of songs in which his students express an interest.
