Romance Flowers is our online store and sister company to Ikabana Designs and JavaFlower. We specialize in flowers, plantscape, design, invitations and more. Michelle Slota owner and designer love for design, creativity and thinking outside the box has led her path through some amazing journeys making her one of Toronto’s top designers.

Raised amongst gardens and trained as a graphic designer, Michelle brings a broad appreciation and knowledge of design to the floral and event industry, a niche that combines so much of what she enjoys and finds inspiring. Interiors, flowers, fashion, food, travel… They all seem to play an important part in a well-​crafted and thoughtful event.

After years freelancing for various companies, planning large-​scale corporate events, she launched Ikabana Design Inc. & JavaFlower, quickly earning a reputation for her lush, romantic designs. While her floral work may be what she is most notably known for, she encourages her clients to think beyond the centerpiece. Using an approach that considers the entire table, the entire environment, Michelle creates truly beautiful events.

Her perfect lazy day is spent playing with her son and dog and enjoying a good Latte
