Richmond Green Skate Trail

I love coming here in the Winter to ice skate and have now started to inline (rollerblade) here too in the Summer!
In the wintertime, this is a great trail, in the Richmond Green park, with proper lockerooms and benches/​tables to lace yourself up. With ample space where you can freely skate, there are also «skate monitors» on the ice in case of emergency. There is even the luxury of Zamboni cleaning every once in a while to make sure the ice is as fresh as possible. What I enjoy the most when I ice skate is the holiday music that plays in the background on its overhead speakers. It just gives the whole place a nice holiday feel.
When I came here to rollerblade for the first time on this trail around 8:45PM, it was amazing because no one was here so it was my very own playground! The trail is so smooooooth for those who are avid inliners!
Hint for the guys, it’s a nice place to take your date! This outdoors trail also has long opening hours so you can come at your convenience!

That’s how I felt when I first arrived at this outdoor skate trail (ice in winter/​in-​line in summer). A 250m 6−15m wide outdoor skate trail located in the West end of Richmond Green’s Sport Complex. The trail is open daily, weather permitting from 10am to 10pm. The trail is full of trees in and around.
The best time to skate is weekday nights from 9pm-​10pm as it will be much less crowded then early evening and the weekends. There are lights throughout the trail and they blast oldies such as Sugar Pie Honey Bunch and Mr. Postman all day all night. Unfortunately hockey is prohibited. At 10pm a zamboni comes to flood the trail.
*go at 11pm and skate all night in the dark.
