Noisy ! Place is very contemporary style open space which causes Echo and noise Servers are fast, very short patience and if you happen to be non Asian or do not speak the language it’s even shorter. So, the solution they have found is to give the customers two sets of menus — not sure why two and what’s the difference– with very good looking pictures Now since communication does not seem to be the strong side in order to get your food you will get a small note which you need to write the code from the menu(I.e S1,) Now the food, I actually had large expectations mainly because of the large Asian customer base But then as high the expectations are — the fall is as bad I ordered a dish with chicken and shrimp over noodles– I guess similar to pad Thai — unlike the Pad Thai — this had no Taste what so ever, I considered returning it but thinking about the language challenge — I just asked for the bill. As the place was very loaded — it may be me and what I have ordered That is why I have decided to give 2 stars instead of one I however will not come back.

Fairly good sized restaurant ensures a high probability of getting stable. The new restaurant is quite clean with contemporary furnishings. It looks like it could get quite loud. The salmon congee was ‘meh’. The congee was on the thin side and needed some salt. The salmon portion was fair to small. Unfortunately, the salmon was overcooked. Perhaps some of the fattier parts of salmon would help this. The fried bread stick was typical, though, slightly on the soggy side by the time I got to the office. I also ordered some barbecue with rice to have for lunch the following day. Knowing it was going to be microwaved, I requested that my take-out order be in their black plastic take-out containers(used for their takeout orders from the kitchen), rather than the standard styrofoam containers they usually use for BBQ take-out. I was disappointed that they charged me $ 0.50 for the plastic container, despite them understanding why I requested it. It’s that nickel-and-diming doesn’t inspire much loyalty. The following day, I dig into my hefty takeout container. It is packed full of white rice. The soya sauce chicken it on the dry side, with the breast meat a little grainy. There is no presence of any ginger-green onion sauce that usually accompanies this chicken. I notice the rice is completely devoid of the splash of soy that most other places provide to keep everything flavourful. Similarly, the roast duck is underwhelming. The meat has a slight sourness. Is it not fresh? No plum sauce is provided either. Overall, I think the restaurant appeals because it is close(to me), and has an enormous selection of items. Unfortunately, the food did not impress. I would be much more inclined to travel the extra distance to Hwy 7 for BBQ and Congee Wong for congee.
