We specialize in the sales of hybrid, MTB, road and kids bikes! From entry level to high end. We carry Cervelo, Lapierre, and Raleigh. We also offer Specialized Body Geometry Bike Fitting, personalised coaching with spin classes, bike maintenance courses, and of course bicycle repair!

History

Established in 2010.

Impala Bicycles came to Richmond Hill in 2010 and lived on Yonge Street for its first 5 years. Manager, Kayla Mazzolin, met her husband, Brian Montgomery, when he came into the shop as a customer to purchase his dream bicycle, the Cervelo S5.

After a quick courtship, they got married, and travelled to British Colombia for their honeymoon. Whilst attending Crankworx in Whistler, they became inspired to open their own bicycle shop.

The opportunity arose for them to take over the ownership of Impala Bicycles Richmond Hill.

And so, the Yonge Street location closed, and Kayla and Brian re-​opened on Bayview with a completely re-​designed Impala Bicycles! The love of bicycles is evident in every aspect of the shop: from the the employees to fixtures to the walls! We’ve incorporated it everywhere!

As a kid, I always used riding my bike as an escape and freedom from my slightly overprotective parents. It was so nice to be able to say, «I’m going for a bike ride!» and be gone for like– 3 hours. It was also a fantastic way to procrastinate from my school work. And as I grew up, cycling remained an important part of my life. I continued to use it as an escape, but I also needed to use it to commute to school and work. I graduated from kinesiology and also achieved my Bachelor’s of Education. I taught science in England for 1 year, but teaching still wasn’t providing me with what I wanted in life. So when I came back home, I returned to my job at Impala Bicycles.

I’ve always regarded the bike industry to be truly special. This is where I belong. So when the opportunity arose to take over ownership of Impala Bicycles, with the support of my husband, my family, and all the Impala Bicycles family, I knew that I found my place.
