The Alberta Funeral Service Association(AFSA) is an invaluable, yet little known resource. At least, I had never heard of it. If you are planning ahead or grieving with many unanswered questions, AFSA can help you through this difficult time. Their website is quite comprehensive, and the office was able to answer many more of my questions. I had no idea how important it is to have a written will. Now my family will know how I wish my body to be treated, and with things laid out in my will, it is less likely, if at all, that the government will tie things up in probate — saving my family time, money, & headaches. AFSA is very professional & sensitive to your grieving. They even have resources available to walk you through how differently we each grieve, including children. Please don’t wait to educate yourself. It’s scary, it really is, but… sadly it’s inevitable.
