I don’t really know what to expect from Gateway Brewery prior to my visit. I have never drink any of their beers at any craft beer bars in Toronto or even heard of them and never seen any of their beers available at LCBO. I have it scheduled as one of my pit stop during My Day at Prince Edward County since I would need some where to stretch my legs and use the washroom and what not after over 2 hours drive. To my delight, the gentlemen at Gateway Brewery really made my day as it was my best brewery stop! 12 oz for $ 3 or A flight for $ 5. I have my eye set on Jethro’s Farmhouse Ale — light and refreshing. Then talking to the in house brewer Chris they going to have a new cask ready to be tapped tomorrow… Tomorrow!!! But he was just nice enough to tap that for me on the spot and Sumac You Upside The Head! Saison is so good with a hint of sourness… I would have stay here the whole afternoon talking to Jez(who can speak near perfect Cantonese) and drinking beers… But sadly I have to leave for my next pit stop! Until next time! And make sure you drop by Gateway Brewery to have a sample or 2 or pick up a growler or a bottle of beers if you are in the area! Note: The beers they brew is quite light around 4.5% ABV so great for light weight like me!
