History

Established in 2004.

Paranoyd Productions was established by performer/​songwriter/​producer Jay T. Edmondson aka J Thorn in 2004. The business moved to a beautiful new location in Port Moody in 2006 and officially opened it’s new doors as Paranoyd Sound Studios in 2007. The studio has played a part in the careers and projects of hundreds of artists since then including multiple Juno award winners and successful new artists, as well as audio-​visual projects and voice-​over work. Owner JT also heads up a small record label under the same banner — Paranoyd Records — and is the frontman in his alternative hip hop/​rap group Indelible.

— Member and producer of INDELIBLE, one of Vancouver’s top charting and touring alternative hip hop acts. J Thorn’s brother illucid is his partner in the duo.

— First Place Winner in the Indie International Songwriting Contest for the Pop category, First Place Winner in the 100% Music Songwriting Contest in the Hip Hop category, and semi-​finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.

— Top 10 charting in both commercial and campus Canadian radio.

— 11 years of production experience in multiple genres.

— Royal Conservatory of Music classically trained pianist.

— Producer of over 250 instrumental backing tracks in various genres.

— Engineering and/​or production experience on over 2000 songs with well over 200 artists.
