Purolator Courier

why do you even attempt to deliver a package when you don’t have the buzzer number and use that as an excuse for not evening trying?

Worst experience ever! The tracking information said the item was out for delivery at 8:05 am. I took the day off work and waited, and waited, and waited. I kept checking for updated information, at 3:00, the info was «contact Purolator to update address info.» I called and was told that the driver couldn’t find my house. (In 30 years, all other deliveries from Amazon etc have made it without incident) They said the driver was done for the day, I’d have to pick it up from their depot in Port Kells myself, or wait until the following day (which would mean another day off work) The item in question was a certified cheque that needed to be deposited immediately. So, not only does my item not get delivered, I’m paying to go pick it up myself!

Where do I start?! This is the absolutely worst courier ever. Missed me at first delivery attempt, I then re-​scheduled — my husband waited for the guy all day (because they are so important that they don’t give you the approximate delivery time). And the guy never showed up. Call the Westwood location and they don’t even know where the package is. A week later still no package. Worst courier ever, stay away! no wonder they are Canadian. The abysmal level of customer «service» really shows. Ugh!

Have been forced to use Purolator for certain websites, they never attempt to deliver, or a leave a note. Use Canada post or anyone else. Not sure why they never try to address the the issues with their delivery drivers. The people in store can be hit or miss in terms of customer service. If you do have to use them then expect to have to go pick up your parcel.

I ordered two items off of a website that uses Purolator. The items were shipped separately and both times the tracking showed that they attempted delivery but were unable to deliver. Both times I was home all day on the days in question. In fact because of what happened the first time, I watched the second item closely and it went from showing that it was out for delivery to attempted delivery within the hour I was watching it. I was home. No one attempted to deliver the package. I had to go out and pick it up myself, Why am I paying for home delivery when they don’t even try to deliver it? I was upset but respectful with the woman working behind the counter and just wanted to let her know what had happened. She couldn’t care less and was actually extremely rude with me. She completely cut me off mid sentence demanding to know where my car was so she could take the package out. I pointed to the car and began walking to the door, still at this point thanking her in case she misunderstood my frustration and when I looked back at her, she was rolling her eyes… really???
With the second item, I called customer service within minutes of the status change to let them know that I was home, no delivery was attempted and that I wanted it delivered. It eventually got to my house.
The online customer service gave me a useless email address to complain to and I had to go onto their twitter page to get the correct contact information. While I was there I saw countless complaints of the exact same experience. I will never ship with Purolator again. Ever. I have shipped with all major couriers and never had this experience. To finish, I emailed the website I ordered off of letting them know that unless they offered a different courier choice, I would not order from them again, too much hassle.

Driver apparently attempted delivery twice when I was home, but no record of any missed calls, nor any delivery notice, and now I have to pickup my package at the depot.
What’s the point in paying $ 10 shipping only to have to go get it myself?
Next time I’m using Canada Post.
