Great food, local and national draft beers, nice atmosphere. Got the dumplings, and 2 rice bowl dishes for lunch, along with a beer and a coke. Three stars because the bill was nearly $ 60 after tip, which is way too much to spend on lunch. Here’s hoping they offer a lunch menu in the future.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. The service was great and the food fantastic. A lot of different choices. We look forward to stopping by again soon.

Relatively good meals, I would definitely recommend the the pad Thai which I think is their specialty. The service was slow but very nice. It was also pricy. I’m not going to really recommend this place. But if you are in the mood for Indian this is the best place around.

Call ahead limited seating. Loved the incorporation of so many tastes. I loved the Roti, Beef Rendang, Thai chili fish, too many to list. The multi layers of flavors are unforgettable which is why this place was on TV as a must eat place.(you gotta eat here show). It’s not much to look at from the outside & has a casual cool garage– like 2 story high ceiling drafty interior. Staff is friendly + helpful with suggestions.

I think my expectations were a little to high from hearing friends and reading reviews. The atmosphere is nice, the food was good, but just that, good. I had the lobster bisque which had good flavor but the lobster was a bit chewy for my liking. This was a special for V Day so i don’t think it’s an regular feature on their menu. My wife had the stuffed button mushrooms… good but nothing special about them. My main was the vindaloo, which had nice heat and great flovor. My wife had the white fish which was cooked well but the suace was a little on the sweet side for her. Service is friendly but i felt we were rushed through our dinner. As soon as our apps were done we were served our mains. Maybe because it was Valentines day and they wanted to get as many people in as possible, they are closed at 10. We sat down for dinner at 7:15 and were done by 8:30. I had reservations so i wasn’t looking to wolf my food down. I live in Thorold so for me to make the 25 – 30 min drive to eat here again probably won’t happen. If your in the area and looking for a quick bite, by all means stop in. Prices are reasonable and beer selection is minimal. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad place, but definitely not worth 4 – 5 stars

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the beef and been burro and really enjoyed it. My wife had the pad thai and it was very good as well. The best was the samosa appetizer. It was fantastic.

Great food here. Imagination is the key to The Smokin Buddha. The owner Kevin does an outstanding job. He is still connected to his roots and does farmer markets and local food festivals. A must go… Burritos are to die for!!!

Good food but call ahead and make a reservation. They have limited space and the customers linger. The Mexican mussels were bland but plentiful. Crab cakes good. Butter chicken was very good and my sweet potato wrap was as expected. Overall a great experience but call ahead they are always busy.

The Smokin’ Buddha is a cute little restaurant located in a former train station in Port Colborne that serves«global» cuisine. It has a fun interior, a summer patio, great staff and good choice of beer. Unfortunately, the food can be hit or miss in my experience. The good: Eggplant Curry, Korean Beef, veggie samosas(tasted these at the Fonthill farmers’ market), salsa. The not-so-good: Muttar Paneer(really bland), the naan bread(tasted like heavy Greek pita bread instead of light, buttery naan), the Pad Thai(bland with almost no vegetables). In spite of the inconsistency in their food, it’s definitely worth a try because when it’s good, it’s really good and everything else about this restaurant is great. It’s also on the Welland Canal bike trail so a nice option in fair weather if you are from Welland. If they can improve their Pad Thai, I will become a regular!
