We offer one-​to-​one tutoring in most subjects from kindergarten through University, including reading, writing, history, math and science. Study skill, executive function and organization skills, are an integral part of all lessons given at the centre.

History

Established in 1972.

The Lansdowne Centre was created to meet the community’s need for an organized professional tutoring service. Its establishment in the Dominion Douglas Church provided a centre in which a common fund of materials and programs could be developed, and where consultations with other qualified people and between the tutors themselves could be more easily arranged. In 1987, the West Island branch opened and has continued to fulfill its mandate to help children become successful learners, no matter their learning disability.
