Hopcott’s Meadows Maze

Never done the maze (on my list) but I attended a wedding here that was spectacular.
Meadows Maze Barn is to wedding as glamping is to camping. The barn was cool (on a 32 Celsius day) and the outdoor ceremony was literally picturesque. So many unique details like outdoor tents for shade and food, bar contained in separate building, quirky pic spots, super staff…
I would highly recommend this space for functions.

This place is great to take your kids for the afternoon.
If it rains a few days before you go make sure you wear boots cause it was very muddy and kind of ruined the fun of the maze because you were constantly looking down for big patches of mud.
Other than the mud it was a good day! Lots of activities for the kids to do.

Just came back from Meadow maze, we went with our Preschool. This place is excellent for young children. Petting zoo is small but adequate, hay tractor ride and pig races were fun. But have to say the highlight was the Barrel train ride. It went fast and was super bumpy and my 2 ½ year LOVED it!!! Will return again next year for sure!

Not gonna lie, was so thoroughly unimpressed with this experience! Went on the second day they opened with hubby and brought an entertainment book coupon. I get it, they’ve barely been open a day so i totally understand not having any experience dealing with it. But confusion is all in the delivery! The very tall, rude, abrupt, patronizingly awful girl behind the counter barked at us, then when we gave the coupon and said we’d like to pay for two adults, she barked that the coupon was only usable for groups of four people. Now I’ve studied the coupon and know it said up to four people at 25% off. So we corrected her and said Up To Four, not just four. She put up a fight and then stormed away without a word. She came back angrily in a mad huff and started banging buttons on the register and barking at the poor young staff she was training. When I asked her if she got clarification to use the coupon for two, she didn’t even look up and barely said yah. Then she barked at the trainee to give us the bands and map. The sweet trainee gave us the bands and stuff and quickly told us what she was giving us but the angry tall girl rudely cut her off and barked that there’s someone outside who will explain and basically shooed us away. The poor trainee looked so horrified and dejected. The whole experience made us feel like the scum of the earth to have bothered her so much by coming in!
The girl at the entrance of the maze was darling, and so helpful. We did one maze. The corn stalk leafs were very sharp so when they whip past your arms and shoulders as you walk through, they feel like sharp paper cuts. We were uncomfortable so when we exited we decided not to go back and do another.
We are a smokie at the concession that took 13 minutes to make as it was freshly made (nice) but was over dry and cooked (not nice).
The petting zoo was cute as were the harvest game and rocking chairs. Highlight was the misting tent.
So we really wanted to go on the hay truck ride. But there was no organized system of scheduling rides. I talked to the driver before he departed with a full load and asked when the next one was leaving and he said about 15 mins after he returned. So we waiting, killed time, boarded the truck when it came back and sat there for 30 minutes. No one came to tell us anything, no one was around, they kept announcing the pig races that never actually started for over 45 minutes… So we gave up dejected and left.
From the start to the finish this experience was horrible. Ok there were a couple nice people and things but overall, I feel grossly cheated out of my money, treated like dirt and felt my Sunday was ruined. I woke up so excited to do this and left so sad and upset. This can’t be the business model they are aiming for?! Don’t do this and expect anything less that a disorganized, rude, mess.
That horrible girl should not be training staff. She’s angry and needs therapy to deal with her issues not represent a family brand company and deal with the public. She, her employers and her family should be ashamed of her behaviours! Shame!

We went on a sunny and warm day. The dust gets everywhere but the kids had a good time.

what a better way to spend your weekend than to get a group of people lost in a corn maze!
the $ 12 general admission includes entrance into two of the mazes petting farm, pig races, and more (check out their website). each year they change the layout of the maze. this year the maze portrays a picture of the 3 little pigs. it was my second time here and both times were very fun. you have 12 checkpoints. at each checkpoint, you can hole punch your ticket. i felt a great sense of accomplishment (for someone who had no sense of direction whatsoever).
you could easily spend more than half a day here doing to two mazes. and longer if you participate in the other activities. come prepared and bring a bottle of water, hat, and good walking shoes. i made the mistake of wearing flip flops and my feet were black by the end of the two corn mazes.

So fun! The Meadow Maze is a great family activity during the autumn season. This has become an annual tradition for the family as well as friends.
With the family we go during the day and go to each post with the kidlets on a fun and exciting adventure. With the friends we go at night and enjoy the spookyness of trying to find the posts in the dark.
Also, if you go during the day there is a great petting zoo for the kids to enjoy. At night they have a nice campfire to sit at after you’ve accomplished the maze without getting too scared in the corn field.
If you haven’t been to the maze before I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

This corn maze is absolutely huge and a lot of fun! There is lots to see and do including two different mazes, a petting zoo, hay rides, fire pits etc.
We are two adults in our 20’s that went close to sun down with no children. We were in the maze when the sun went down and MAN was it fun! Also, kind of scary. Highly recommended!
Next time I’ll be going with a few more friends so we can play some games such as hide and seek and maybe even a race. Can’t wait!
