This is a cosy resort and hotel to relax at while you visit and enjoy the local treasures of Prince Edward County & surrounding areas. Don’t forget the beautiful Sandbanks Provincial Park is not far. Not to mention the wineries and breweries. Or antique hunting, and fine dinning or sightseeing. Or… You get the picture. Isaiah Tubbs is a nice home away from home while you explore. As always… Enjoy et bon séjour. JLM

This is a decidedly mediocre resort property. It’s okay in a lackadaisical sort of way, but it’s run-down, much of it is ugly, indifferently staffed, and poorly equipped. Strictly a bargain option, and don’t pick it if you have other choices.

The salmon, at 26 $, was an overcooked, bland slab covered in raspberry jam, with terrible-tasting rice served with boiled frozen veg mix. The kids 12 $ burgers were burned. One of them said. «The menu said– ‘Cooked to perfection!‘ Sorry kids it’s true… adults sometimes get just as lazy and careless as you do. Service was great, outdoor patio awesome, beer tasty. Isaiah’s like the really cute kid who thinks he can get away with everything.

We thought we’d try out the Restaurant on the Knoll for dinner last night. It’s a nice location, the view is beautiful and everything is very clean, but it has to be some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Our appetizer took almost an hour, and when it finally arrived, mine was not as it was advertised and did not include everything the menu said it did. However, it was really tasty. It was a bummer to see everyone else’s orders leave the kitchen with everything that mine was missing, but by then we were so hungry I didn’t bother saying anything. When our mains finally arrived, my partners dinner was delicious, but mine was so-so. The meat on both dishes was cooked perfectly, but my dish was bland and the rice was undercooked. Desert was delicious. Really, really good. Overall, the food isn’t bad, and I think some dishes are probably well worth ordering. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant though. We saw tables that came in almost an hour after us be seated, served and leave before us. We felt really neglected and it put a damper on our Valentines day dinner experience.

Zero stars. Very expensive menu. No A/C. Dark. Inattentive. Left waiting at the desk for ages before being seated. We felt fortunate to leave before ordering anything as we met another couple in the parking lot that were very unhappy with the food. Pass.
