Running Room Canada

Prices are expensive, although on par with Sport Chek, but the difference here is that the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The store was a little busy when I went in and yet I was acknowledged three times that I would be helped very soon.

The Running Room in Canada was started by John Stanton who recently won the Order of Canada (made a recognizable difference to the country) which gives to an idea of the impact of both John and this store. The Running Room in Pickering is no exception with a friendly staff and lots of selection (for both Male and Female). There are clinics (learn to run anything from learning to run to a full marathon) and weekly practice walk/​runs (Wednesdays at 6:00pm and Sundays at 8:30am).
This is the perfect store to get started in running. They will analyse your feet and find the type of shoe that fits you (cushion, supportive or motion control). It is the start to finish support that you get from the Running Room that makes you feel like you made the perfect decision when purchasing shoes.
While I was here to try on shoes (which was near closing time, and the employee was in no rush to scoot me out the door) they were very friendly and knew customers that were walking in on a first name basis. As with all Running Room stores, this one was very clean spacious.
